Great location to visit Guernsey
The property is a short bus ride from the ferry. Melissa and Tracey are great hosts and make you feel very comfortable. This property was a great find for a family.
Thank you Brian for a great rating, so pleased you all enjoyed your stay with us. It was lovely to have met you and your family . All the best Melissa and Tracey.
Clean, well appointed, staff very helpful near to bus stops and town
A lot of thought has gone into the fixtures and fittings also you have shampoo toothpaste and soap for your use . We had an apartment for 4 people 2 double bedrooms and 2 shower rooms a lounge with a dinning table, as well as a table outside, it was well equipt. On arrival we were offered a lift to the supermarket which was a fantastic help. Any questions we had were answered quickly and the staff were very helpful. Guernsey is a lovely island staying at the apartments made traveling easy whether it was to the port or catching a bus. We would highly recommend them, thank you for making our holiday special.
Thank you for your great comments and high rating for the Albany Apartments. Really pleased you found the apartment spacious and comfortable along with the added extras. Guernsey has so much to offer , with the idyllic scenery, cliff walks, museums , beautiful beaches, along with some superb eateries, all too many to mention. All the best Tracey.
Wonderful holiday location
Wonderful base for exploring the Island, with a high standard of accommodation and great pool area.
Thank you for your excellent rating, we are so pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay at the Albany Apartments. We look forward to welcoming you and your family back to the Albany again soon, All the best Tracey
All in good order with good facilities including a chlorine free pool. Would have liked to have had a dishwasher. Convenient location for the centre of St. Peter Port. If you don't enjoy the uphill walk back, there is a bus service available from the centre.
Thank you for your feed back, yes unfortunately some of the kitchens are just not big enough for a dishwasher, glad you enjoyed your stay along with our heated salt swimming pool .
A very happy family
Our stay at Albany Apartments was excellent. The accommodation was well presented, very clean and spacious, as well as being well-appointed to travel about the Island and access the ferry port.
The play area and pool were super and we all enjoyed our time at the apartment, as well as there being so many places of interest and things to do on the island.
The trips to the other islands were marvellous and we were also blessed with great weather.
As a family, we were all totally taken with Guernsey and were happy and very comfortable in the accommodation provided.
If I had any criticism at all it would be that there was no dishwasher... but this was not a huge problem.
We would definitely go back to Albany Apartments.
Thank you for your comments, so glad you enjoyed your stay with us. We do have some apartments with dishwashers, however some apartments just do not have large enough kitchens. I will forward your comments on to the owners. Thank you again for taking the time to review our property.
Although Guernsey is geographically much closer to France than the UK, it is loyal to the British crown. This loyalty can be traced back to Norman times when the Channel Islands first became part of the English realm and forms the basis of the island's constitution.
Today the island is self-governing and enjoys the same level of independence it has had since first becoming associated with England.
Guernsey's ability to look after its own fiscal affairs has meant that it has been able to foster a favorable tax climate. This has led to many offshore banks, fund managers and insurance companies establishing here. Whilst the traditional industries of flower growing, fishing and dairy farming still play an important part, contributing both to the varied economy and to the island's character. There are also a number of high profile light industries based on the island, including Spec savers Optical Group and Health span.
Guernsey also has its own stamps and currency, and while British pounds can be used on the island, Guernsey pounds cannot be used in the UK.
Guernsey people enjoy their free time. Being an island, with a warmer climate than the UK, much time is spent outside; on the beach, walking the cliffs, island hopping or eating AL fresco. The Island has great sporting facilities and a programme of events throughout the year.
Guernsey is part of the southernmost archipelago in the British Isles sitting in the Bay of St Malo, a little less than 30 miles from the French coast.
As a result Guernsey has a milder climate then the UK and enjoys more sunshine hours each year. This allows for an outdoor-based lifestyle that makes maximum use of the natural surroundings. It also means that a number of plants and flowers, that couldn't survive in Britain, are able to thrive in Guernsey. The Island rarely sees frost and snow is somewhat of a rarity.
