Had a wonderful relaxing stay away from it all. Brilliant, and most particularly if you love getting out on to the water. House and gardens were fantastic with all the facilities you could wish for and a brilliant pool area. Most generous of hosts too. And if you don't know the area - this is crab capital of the world! Other than Walberswick (over here in the UK), of course... Loverly area and within easy reach of all the fun and excitement of DC.
June 2016. We loved this house and the location for my husband's birthday with friends/family. It's very private and the landscaping is remarkable - huge old trees and lots of beautiful flowers. There are two areas for outdoor dining (one covered and one uncovered) and the pool is large and well-maintained. The bedding is quite comfortable and there are plenty of linens and towels. We enjoyed "cooking in" a couple of dinners. The kitchen has everything you need and more... Also, it's important to note for summer visitors - the A/C works great! We were comfortable in every room. The property is very close to town, shopping, and great restaurants. We particularly enjoyed the Bistro and 208 Talbot. For more casual meals, the Tavern at the Inn on Perry Cove and the Crab Claw were fun. We discovered two nice groceries in town (although there may be more). The owners were quite helpful and responsive to our questions. They have provided for anything and everything you will need to enjoy your stay here. We look forward to another visit and highly recommend!
We were in St Michaels for the Wine Festival. There were 7 wonen. The house is described as two bathrooms, however it is only one and a half baths. The electricity wiring was lacking and we could not use our blowdryers. The owner had assured us it would sleep 8 but there were only 7 beds.
The house was clean a swell appointed. The property is beautiful
Cottage was clean and comfortable. Situated close to a small inlet of water. Very picturesque. As it was late October and chilly, we had hoped to use one of the 2 fireplaces that were noted on the website. Unfortunately, a sign on the refrigerator indicated that BOTH fireplaces were inoperable. We left a voicemail for Tom, but he never returned our call. In addition, please be aware that the second bathroom noted on the website is actually a half bath (just toilet and sink). There is only one shower inside the cottage. Be sure to pack a blow dryer as we could not find one anywhere in the cottage. Otherwise, we had a very nice stay.
we loved this house! Great location, walking distance to town! The house is very clean and comfortable. The pool is fantastic for a morning swim or a relaxing mid afternoon wind down after seeing the sights! Would definitely recommend!
My daughter and husband enjoyed kayaking on Long Haul Creek while my son had a good time hanging out at the pool. My parents, husband and I found St. Michael's to be very charming.
