Welcome to The Victorian Barn, a fabulous rural retreat in the heart of Dorset.

The Victorian Barn is a holiday hamlet of 4* houses, apartments, cottages and lodges with super-fast Wi-Fi. There are lots of wonderful lawn areas and patios outside the properties to enjoy with garden furniture.

The properties can accommodate both small and large family/ friends groups and can be hired individually or together.

Our superb leisure facilities include an indoor heated swimming pool, heated to 30+ degrees so perfect for both young babies and the young at heart!

There is also a cedar Sauna and Gym with treadmill, cross trainer, rowing machine, bike and free weights.

There is an outside communal hot tub, children’s adventure play area & 3 course fishing lakes. Plus we offer an elegant games room with exposed Oak beams and underfloor heating. The games room has pay on use pool table, football table and quiz machine as well as an abundance of board games and books to enjoy!

Jasmine Cottage with Private Hot Tub, sleeps up to 7 guests (plus infants) and benefits from 3 en-suite bedrooms. It is a semi-detached spacious cottage with a sunny patio, the perfect property to enjoy the sunshine through the day and the amazing sunsets at night. You can enjoy sitting outside on the patio furniture or in your private hot tub watching the sun fall behind the horizon, painting the sky shades of red and pink with a glass of your favourite tipple in hand.

The spacious bedrooms are king size plus single bedded room with en-suite bathroom, double with en-suite shower room and a twin bedrooms, also with an en-suite shower room. All bedrooms fitted wardrobes and dressing tables.

The impressive open plan lounge and dining areas benefit from 2 large comfortable leather sofas plus an armchair and foot stool, a 50 inch SMART TV with free view and a beautiful Marble table for dining with 8 chairs. There are ceiling lights and soft wall lights to accommodate every occasion.

Leading on from the wonderful lounge there is a spacious fully fitted kitchen with electric double oven with ceramic hob, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, full size refrigerator and freezer, toaster and kettle. There are plenty of pots and pans, crockery, glasses including Champagne for a special occasion and cutlery so you can be sure your group will be fully accommodated whether your stay is for a family holiday or celebration.

Jasmine Cottage benefits from underfloor heating and there is also cloakroom facilities on the ground floor. A superb family friendly cottage.

To help you settle in quicker a starter supply of essentials such as dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, tea towels, dish cloth and toilet tissue are provided.

The bedrooms are prepared and beds made for your arrival with crisp white linen and soft, fluffy white towels. Please bring your own swimming towels.

Cots and high chairs can be hired at a cost of £10 each per stay to save packing these items. Please bring your own cot bedding.

Onsite facilities also include a washroom with washing machine, tumble dryer and sink, pay on use.

We are pleased to be able to offer up to 30GB per property of complimentary super-fast broadband

Usage above 30GB will incur a small fee without suspension of Wi-Fi.

We can offer 2 – 7 night stays within all our properties. For a 7 night stay the changeover day is Friday.

There is lots to see and do within Dorset and our local area and we are more than happy to help you plan your visit.

For larger groups we can also offer the services of our fantastic caterers for a celebratory dinner party or for a family get together.

Why Penny & Claire chose Blandford Forum

This property has a very special place in our hearts as it is where Claire has grown up and we have been farming here since the late 1960's. After dairy farming for many years we converted the buildings for holiday accommodation.

We still run a small beef farm a short distance from the barn so guests can see cattle in the fields while enjoying the fresh clean air of open countryside.

What makes this cottage unique

The Victorian Barn benefits from amazing views, they are completely unbelievable and you have to come here in order to absorb them. In fact, the view from our reception is truly awe inspiring.

We also offer superb facilities such as the indoor heated pool, hot tubs, gym, sauna, childrens play area, games room and fishing lakes.

On arrival please follow the sign to reception to collect your key. The reception is located in the conservatory next to the triple garage, adjoining the main house. Please ring the bell for a member of the team to assist you.
We are pleased to accept arrivals between 4pm and 6 pm on the arrival day booked.
You are welcome to arrive earlier than 4 pm to enjoy the onsite leisure facilities please inform us of this before arriving. We are unable to guarantee early access to your property.
Late arrivals - We request to be notified if guests are going to be delayed. The reception closes at 6pm so please notify us if you intend to arrive after that time. This is a quiet area and we therefore ask that no one arrives between the hours of 10pm and 8am. If you are going to be late we can leave the key in the door so you can access the property.
The time of departure is 10 am on the departure day booked. Please observe this rule to facilitate the preparation of the property for new arrivals.
Fire regulations and insurance terms require that we are aware of the names and contact details of all guests (residential and non residential) at the premises. This is to be communicated prior to your stay. Only the named guests are permitted to use or stay in the property.
The swimming pool has opening hours and is not available overnight/ 24 hours, the opening hours can be found on our website.
The hot tubs are available from 8 am until 11 pm, we request no overnight use so as not to disturb other guests.
During your stay there is an emergency telephone number provided or for general queries we can be emailed. Our reception is not manned 24/ 7.
Complimentary WiFi is offered up to 8GB per stay, above this will incur a small fee of £2 per GB.
