About Roger

We have a family farm in Devon, having been told to diversify, so we thought what and where, but as we seem to have cool wet summers in the UK, it is why we came and purchased this Villa in the peaceful Sea Caves area. An ideal place to relax, sunbathe, walk around the coast from

Roger purchased this villa in 2007

Why Roger chose Pegia (Peyia)

So we can recharge our batteries in a stunning peaceful location.

What makes this villa unique

beautiful Sea Views from the rooms, catches the early morning sun so soon warms up in the winter and the roof terrace with its own private Jacuzzi has sun all day long. If you need shade try the rear garden

Wonderful

  • 5 of 5

This is our 3rd time at Villa Cresta and as usual very pleased with our stay.

Very open spacious villa, very clean with all neccessities with local supermarket Phillipos just up the road that literally sells everything!

Roger is always on hand to help with any queries or problems.

Prime location for a quiet holiday enjoying Peyia Village but not far at all from Coral Bay for nights out etc.

We recommend walking along the sea caves towards Lara as there are some very beautiful sites. The Villa is not far (by car) from The last Castle (Viklari) restaurant which is one of the certified best on Trip Advisor. The traditional dish of Souvla is served there all day which is hard to find in Coral Bay. Even closer is the Sea Caves Lounge right on the sea caves for drinks and dinner.

I will definitely be coming back to Villa Cresta and would recommend to everyone. Thanks again Roger.

Ornithological retreat

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed in Cyprus every spring for the last sixteen years. Usually for three to four weeks studying the Orchids and migration. The choice this year to use the Villa proved a perfect solution . Bird watching from the roof terrace and the Akamas only a short drive away. Couple this with comfortable beds. Spacious living areas and all the other creature comforts one would need for a perfect holiday.

We have booked next year for a month.

Great place for vacation

  • 4 of 5

The Villa is situated 100 meters from the Sea Caves, one of the most beautiful places in the region, 15 KM from Paphos, not far from Coral and Corellia's bays and not far from Agios Georgios.

The villa was very clean, very well maintained, fully equipped kitchen, very comfortable.

We received perfect instructions how to get to the place.(It was crucial because we arrived at night)

It was a bit annoying that we had to pay extra for WI-FI (!!!) and for UKTV (Which we didn't...).

The only major problem is that all air condition sets in the Villa are connected to a timer (An hour or two hours). In the bedroom, for example, the air condition was cut off after an hour (!!!), and we had to wake up, and turn it on again, and again and again...

Without this problem, we would recommend the Villa to our friends or relatives without hesitation.

Owner's Response: We are sorry to hear the timer in the bedroom spoiled your holiday. The guests who departed the morning of your arrival, haven't mention there was a problem. It is a shame you didn't ask Barry to fix it for you, so you would have been able to enjoy your night's rest. As we don't know how many guests would bring internet devices, we offer different Wi-Fi bandwidths, so if there is only one device and you only wish to check emails the copper is sufficient but if there are four or five devices or someone has to work, downloading/ uploading large files so you have choice of upgrades available. The Wi-Fi speed is better than what I can receive out in the country in Devon UK.

Wonderful Villa in Paphos

  • 5 of 5

Our family with children returned to the villa Cresta again this August after the great vacation that we had at the villa last summer. The villa is very comfortable, clean, and spaceouse with three bedrooms, large living room, two bathrooms, conditioners, wi-fi, and a very well equipted kitchen. It has everything necessary for a comfortable stay. It has a special gorgeous view of the sea caves from the vill windows and the sea breeze. The owner and the manager have been very helpful in answering all our questions and communication with them had been very easy. One of the best beaches, Coral Bay, is just 10 min drive from the villa. The Phillipos supermarket on the way from Coral Bay and has everything you need. We also liked the fish taverna Marina near the Coral Bay whcih has very reasonable prices and a good variety of fish dishes. We travelled to the mountains and monasteries and had a wonderful time. We are eager to come back again next summer.

Lovely!

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay In Villa Cresta. It is much bigger than it looks in the photos. Spotlessly clean, well equipped, gorgeous views and very good communication with the owner. We didn't use the hot tub so cannot comment on that. Cannot find any fault, apart from another week would've been lovely! Would recommend to anyone who enjoys a relaxing holiday, lovely seaviews, walks in either direction, to St George's Bay one way and Oniro by the sea the other way for a cooling drink. A car is preferable and will allow you to see more of this beautiful island and its' friendly people. Imogen's Tabepna in Kathikas, 20 minutes into the mountains, is a must for good local food and very friendly staff. Thank you Roger for a lovely stay and to Elaine and Barry for the spotless villa on arrival, the very welcome, welcome pack and change of sheets and towels. All in all, a wonderful holiday.

Map

Car: necessary

The Sea Caves / Coral Bay/ St George Bay Pegeia area

There is a variety of things to do in and around the surrounding area of Paphos.

If you like to walk, there is the Akamas nature reserve, with views of the coast from Lara Beach to Latchi. There are several kilometres of off road tracks from Neo Choiro to Peyia (25km) along the hill tops.

If water sports such as scuba diving or you can even rent a boat to drive as long as you have a drivers licence, you do not need a boating licence to drive it. You can find all this and more at Latchi Harbour near Polis only a short drive away. Closer to Paphos there are jet ski and boats to hire at Coral Bay

Don’t feel like driving your own boat then why not take one of the organised boat trips and see Cyprus from the sea. There are glass bottom boats which will take you for a trip around the bay and the Akamas peninsula.

Did you know for instance that Cyprus is famous for the Aphrodite Festival, which presents an opera annually using the castle at the harbour as its backdrop? Every year for 3 nights an amazing production takes place. If you prefer to stay on dry land then how about skiing! Yes, you can even ski here in the winter months! If you would like to head up the mountain and put on your skis look at this website for chance to ski down Troodos Mountain and see the breathtaking views.

Paphos bird park is just off the road close to St Georges Harbour. There is also Georges Ranch for horse riding and a reptile park close by.

If you prefer to stay on the ground and relax by the lakes fishing, there are plenty of lakes, the closest being Mavrokolymbos, which is near to Coral Bay.

If you want an adrenaline rush then bungee jumping, rock climbing, mountain biking and jeep safaris in the Troodos Mountains.Just past the turning for Coral Bay, on the right is go-karting arena

Free transfers for visitors to Paphos Waterpark arriving by bus on routes 11 or 15( which pass through the Tomb of the Kings road), please present your bus ticket to the cashier at the Water Park ticket desk to claim a full refund of your fare

Paphos is included on the UNESCO World Heritage list. At the Kato Paphos Archaeological Park there are remains from prehistoric times through to the middle ages. This area is next to Paphos Harbour and contains the Basilica of Khrysopolitissa dating from 4th/7th century AD, the mosaics of the Houses of Aion, Dionysus, Orpheus and Theseus. The Tomb of the Kings burial site
