The location was very remote and peaceful. The cabin had a very welcoming rustic charm.
I am very glad that my husband and I decided to rent this cabin. I will highly recommend this cabin to anyone that is planning on coming down to this area.
Very clean, comfortable, and cute cabin. The host was very nice and made sure we had everything we needed.
Gorgeous, Quiet Cabin
This place was exactly as described and we loved every minute we were there. Kevin may be one of the nicest people I've ever met and I'm sure his wife is the same based on her friendly communications. Comfy bed, good water pressure, great porch area to relax. This was great for a couple. We only wished we had stayed longer. If we come back to the area, we will not hesitate to stay here again, it was that amazing :) Thank goodness there are people in the world like Kevin and Luanne.
Our stay was perfect! We couldn’t have asked for more. The cabin was cozy and clean and just as we expected. We really enjoyed visiting with Luanne and Kevin who had a wealth of information about the area they shared with us. Thank you so much for sharing your cabin with us!
#1 Cabin and Owners....AWESOME!
This cabin is great. If you want an amazing jump off point to everything the Black Hills has to offer, this is the spot.
Luanne and Kevin treated us like family and the cabin was super fresh had everything we needed.
Custer State Park has so many great things to experience and this cabin is just a stones throw from the gate.
I couldn't recommend the owners and this cabin more, it's a special place.
Great base for visiting the Rushmore area
We loved our four night stay in the Gold Creek cabin - our family of four rented the one bedroom and it was perfect as the futon is quite comfortable for the kids. The cabin is a 10 or so minute drive from Hermosa but is also just 10 minutes to the Custer Park entrance - it is somewhat remote and quite but we (unintentionally) visited during the Sturgess Bike rally so really (really) enjoyed the peace and quite and distance from the bikes. The cabin comes with a BBQ, microwave, toaster and fridge and we that worked out just perfect for us as we were able to make dinners every night - plus breakfast before heading off and allowed us to pack picnic lunches each day - big cost savings for a family of four. The cabin owners allow the kids to use their tire swing, hammock and part of their yard to play - which was nice as they were able to blow off steam after some long days in and out of the car. The cabins are very well built and very well decorated - it was nice being able to sit out on the deck each night and if your lucky you can see some deer or wild turkey. Its a bit of a drive to some sights but the peace and quite is worth it We used it as our hub for four nights and saw everything (from Spearfish all the way south to the Badlands). The owners are wonderful and the place was spotless. A great find for visiting this area!!
