Our home away from home is an amazing fully-equipped townhouse apartment in Costa Galera Country Club, located 300 meters away from Estepona sea, between Marbella and Sotogrande.

We had a fantastic holiday in estapona. The apartment was fantastic. It is designed for large groups as there were areas we never used. My favourite place was the terrace off the lounge. We spent many hours out there. The only thing I would change is the bedroom windows don't have nets for privacy and to keep the moskitos out at night. As such we had to keep the windows closed and shutters down. We like to sleep with windows open at night as the air con is not healthy. Other than that faultless.

Also for the input on the A/C. We do not particularly like mosquito nets, but found an alternative to A/C at night: turn the A/C off when we go to bed and then keep window open but with the shutters down. Mosquitos won't pass.

Re privacy, just would like to make the point that the apartment is fairly private. The closest apartment line on the north-east side is ~ 40 meters away and there is not a closer one on the south-west side neither.

Lovely quiet family holiday

Wonderfully quiet, which is just what we wanted. Super townhouse, loads of room, everything you need. Great views from the terraces. Nice pools, good pool bar. It's a drive to the town, beaches and supermarkets etc but we don't mind that, much rather have a peaceful location and a drive than noisy tourists everywhere! Super detail from the host and agents - top marks indeed, our best holiday leggings stay yet :)

Wondeful holiday

We had a lovely 9 nights stay in Maria's apartment. 4 adults and 2 kids ( 3 and 6) all were doing and felt like at home.The apartment is located in a quiet zone and excellent appointed with most amazing view over the mountains and sea. Lovely area with clean pools. Safe for children as the area was fenced. Close to beautiful Estepona and family Del Christo beach. We visited some beaches around - all fantastic with gold sand and clear water. Not far to Gibraltar (only 45 minutes by car) Would highly recommend. Car is necessary!

Fantastic townhouse in great location

We had an excellent 2 weeks stay at this very well appointed, clean and comfortable townhouse, which is set in immaculately maintained gardens, with access to several swimming pools. As a family of 4 with 2 young children, we preferred the "family" pool next to the very good Akua's restaurant, which serves very good food and has very friendly and courteous staff, who always made us feel welcome. The townhouse, is well located for the many excellent local restaurants (Arroyo Honda up in the Casares hills - a short 10 minute drive away - is extremely good) and beaches (we particularly liked the beach at Sottogrande - 15 minutes away by car). Estepona marina and Old Town areas are within easy reach, and I would definitely recommend making the journey to Ronda for stunning views (for those who don't like driving up windy hills, then the train is an easy alternative). The property owner is very communicative and helpful and made the booking process extremely easy. I would definitely recommend them.

Lovely Townhouse

This was a lovely Townhouse with beautiful views of the sea and the mountains behind.

It had lots of extras thing like dishwasher, washing machine and toys for little ones. The only problem we had was the air conditioning upstairs in the two bedrooms was controlled in the master bedroom so hard luck on anyone in the other room if you felt differently to the people in the main bedroom. The balconies were big plenty of room to seat us all.

There are many pools on the site but they were very cold and the main pool didn't open Monday and Tuesday and the rest of the week not until 12 o' clock. Also pool bar not open until July we were told.

A must is a car not a restaurant open any where near the place which was a shame.

Would have been a help if when we arrived just before 7 o'clock ( which they were informed about ) we had been met by an English speaking person that we could have asked where we could eat we were all very hungry by then.

The management company looking after the place made no contact with us at all and didn't even come and collect the damage deposit we were meant to hand over at the beginning of our stay.

Over all we enjoyed our holiday but wouldn't go back there.

Owner's Response: Thanks Chris for your review. Glad to hear you liked the place and amenities. You are right that the a/c is a central unit, controlled by floor and not by room. This is not a problem to most visitors, but would understand if you would prefer otherwise. Regarding restaurant, there is a nice one at the club house of our resort that is open every day. The property mger does speak English; but as you arrived before 7am the keys were delivered by the security personnel, who not always are fluent in English. We tend to be flexible on arrival/departure time (unlike other rentals), but difficult to ensure an English speaking service at night or early AM. Wish you all the very best. Maria.

Wonderful holiday (again)

Another joyful summer in this nice townhouse with my wife and 3 boys. Good location, nice pools, fast WiFi, clean, and well equiped with all you need for the family. We have used their children games, including playstation and even golf clubs that we took to the green located within the gated community. The green fee was only 3€ per capita and a basket full of balls for the driving range for only 1€!

Both Maria and her local property manager were very helpful. Highly recommend.
