Nice chalet - well laid out

We used La Petite Aiguille as a base for a week walking in the area. Chalet was spotlessly clean and arrival instructions were easy to follow. Having an underground car park was great for unloading as the chalets parking leads directly into the lower floor where three of the four bedrooms are located.

Kitchen is well equipped with plenty of glasses, mugs etc and decent amount of work surface. The lounge is open plan with the kitchen and dining area and is comfortable. All in all a great place to come back to after a day's activity.

There is a bar next door to the development - the Randonneurs - which has an old fashioned atmosphere and a bit of a grumpy owner. Also - on the Chamonix Road, about 2 minutes walk away, a lovely friendly bar called La Yaute - good beer, burgers, steaks etc.

As a base for walking La Petite Aiguille was great - we used a hire car to get to start/finish points mostly, but also used the local train (about 10 minute walk) which runs to Chamonix and also east to Switzerland and was quite cheap.

Joy, the owner, dealt with an early teething problem caused by a breakdown somewhere in the communication chain incredibly quickly. All in all I would highly recommend.

Really comfortable traditional chalet - everything provided for.

We had a group stay for 6 at the chalet and cannot fault Joy and Mike for the information provided prior to our departure - it made finding the chalet and tips for the area to eat/drink really easy. The chalet itself over two levels worked very well with the two large ensuites a great size. Plenty of bathrooms, and we all loved the fire! It's set back so is very quiet, nestled under the slope and trees and the valley.

The chalet is a short walk to some great restaurants and a great bar 'La Yaute' is 2 mins walk. We hired a boot/ski locker at Sanglard sports which meant we could wander up in shoes to the ski lifts in about 8 minutes. A great stay had by all.

Very easy to book and required info from owners. Very spacious and well equipped, fire keeps whole house warm. Good ski storage room easy to walk out to bus stop 3mins. 10mins up to village a few bars, restuarants and super marker

Great chalet for extended family or a group!

We were an extended family group with teens, tweens and a toddler. The chalet was perfect. So very well laid out for our family group with downstairs having a cosy, quiet feel that enabled the toddler to be asleep while others played exuberant card games in the lounge above. Both 'parent' rooms had lovely ensuites while the kids shared a bathroom and separate toilet. With an additional separate toilet in the entry, there was never a toilet or shower availability crisis! The kitchen was very well stocked and we very much appreciated the "what goes around comes around" approach where we used some of the staples already in the kitchen (oil, sugar, spices etc) and left more for use by others. There was no time that we lacked for a piece of kitchen equipment and the lounge was similarly well stocked with games, puzzles and dvd's. The whole chalet was deliciously warm with abundant options to make a space warmer or cooler and had a great drying cupboard connecting directly to the garage to facilitate easy transitions.

The property is one of perhaps 6 or 8 but feels very private and is right at the rear with direct access to the beautiful walking path on the mountainside and a great area for private and safe snowplay for the little ones. It is about a 2 minute walk to the bus stop which is well serviced with a bus every 30 minutes to get to Les Praz/Flegere or Chamonix. There is ski hire nearby and a 10 minute walk to Argentiere shops which provided everything we needed and has a great pizza place.

Arrangements were smooth and unfailingly pleasant and I would be delighted to book again. We had such a lovely stay with everything we needed and were all very sad to have to pack up!

Ideally located, and very well equipped

We loved La Petite Aiguille. We were a group of 8 young professionals, looking for somewhere close to the lifts, with plenty of room and good facilities. We got all of this and more! Joyce was extremely helpful right from the off and the information provided prior to arriving was ideal. The chalet is a 7-8min walk from the main lift station in Argentiere but also, 10mins on the bus to Flegere lifts too.

The Chalet itself is extremely well equipped, especially in the kitchen. We loved being able to have the log fire with a big area to sit around it...some of the pictures didn't do the place justice! It is nice to have the cost of linen and cleaning including in the price of the Chalet as well.

The only criticism we had is that the towels were quite small for some of the men!

We would definitely like to stay here again if we ever come back to Chamonix.

Love this place, it's home from home an amazingly comfortable apartment that's a great base for climbing, skiing, walking, you name it. The local bars are really local too and serve food if you want a meal out
