This oceanfront home is in an ideal location to enjoy the beauty of Pacific Grove and the Monterey Bay area. The Panoramic views are breathtaking and you fall asleep to the soothing sound of waves splashing on the rocks. It is such a beautiful spot that many weddings take place right across the street at Berwick Park. It's all about the location

  • 4 of 5

The location of this property is amazing. Just a short walk to Cannery Row and ocean views - gorgeous!

We forwarned that there are a lot of steps up to the condo so if that worries you, perhaps look somewhere else. There is a parking space provided in the back but the incline is steep (and scratched the bottom of my car pretty badly when backing out) so I suggest parking on the street. We could always get a spot right in front - easy peasy.

The condo itself is well appointed with most anything you'd need amenity-wise. The living room was a bit small (four was definitely the max that could sit in there) and the dining room table was too big for the space (we had to climb over a chair to be able to sit) but the furnishing were certainly of high quality.

It does tend to get stuffy in the condo even when it's cold out so we'd open the windows but the bugs would make themselves at home too. It would be awesome if one of each of the side windows had a screen in it so the bugs wouldn't all come in.

I do think the cleaning crew could have done a better job. There were several hairs on the wall in the bathroom, a few small pieces of broken glass on the bedroom carpet, dead batteries in most of the battery operated candles, and dead bug marks on the walls. A little more time spent could help in this regard. It wouldn't stop us from staying here again though.

Lastly, the clothes dryer wasn't working but we didn't find this out until after putting in two loads of wash (we though the first one was in the process of drying). While we understood that the owner couldn't do anything about it we did have to go home with two bags of wet clothes. The owner apologized initially but offered nothing for the inconvenience. When I asked for a small refund since I had to go home and do laundry right away, she said she didn't think she needed to do anything because we were only there two days. While I understand this - it was a listed amenity and an inconvenience (and when she was called about it initially she did say that the dryer had been acting up so she was getting a new one - but I wish we had been told this before we tried to do the wash). In the end, she credited us $25 - but not after accusing us in a curt email of throwing her condiments and food in the freezer away. We assured her that there had been nothing in the fridge/freezer and that we had thrown nothing away but the curt email without asking us politely at first was not welcomed.

55th Anniversary Trip of a Lifetime!

  • 5 of 5

When we began to plan our 55th wedding anniversary, we knew we wanted to spend our special month in Pacific Grove where we lived in the late 70's. We never imagined that we would find such a nice condo with such an awesome view right on Ocean Blvd. There is no way to adequately describe the view from the living room window! The condo is beautifully furnished and the kitchen well equipped. Geri was an excellent host and was very helpful. Staying in her condo was a real pleasure!

Would Return in a Heartbeat

  • 5 of 5

We loved every one of our nine nights at this property. Much of our time was spent just looking out the living room window - being mesmerized by waves in the bay crashing against the rocky shoreline; watching spectacular sunrises and sunsets; taking in the many activities that comprise daily life across the street in Berwick Park (tourists posing for pictures in front of the humpback whale sculpture, an elderly man doing tai chi most afternoons, and 3 weddings!).

The location is unbeatable, whether you want to take the scenic route along the recreation path toward Lover's Point Park or Fisherman's Wharf, or walk past the charming and historic houses and churches into downtown Pacific Grove for a meal in one of the many restaurants.

The condo itself is magnificent, as long as you are able to access it by walking up several flights of stairs. The beautiful furnishings and artwork (some of it original works by the owner), well-stocked kitchen, and spacious closets made staying here a pleasure. We are so lucky to have found this property!

Fair Oaks

  • 5 of 5

This place was wonderful. We enjoyed the view from the patio and from the living room. The aquarium tickets are a added bonus! The apartment was as advertised. We arrived to find it clean and ready for us to enjoy. We were able to get in without a problem and had our security deposit returned promptly. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking dinners. Internet was great, something very impto my husband.

The property is lovely. You can't beat the location and all the windows to view the ocean

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I were looking to getaway from our hectic schedules. We were very lucky to have stumbled upon this property. Its directly across from the ocean. Convenient location with access to bike path, ocean, aquarium and downtown Pacific Grove and Cannery Row. The property was quiet and nicely furnished. We found the owner to be great. We had a question and he was quick to respond. He also refunded our deposit quickly after our departure. I highly recommend this unit
