We just returned from a lovely 6 days in Barcelona. Since you never know what you are going to get from renting on the internet, we were a bit unsure, but what a pleasant surprise! Our apartment on the first floor, was beautiful, spacious, well appointed and spotlessly cleaned. We thoroughly enjoyed Arturo and Joanna, our Innkeepers. Arturo is very helpful in neighborhood information re: dining and shopping. His English is very good and we had no problem understanding him. He helped us with video rentals, restaurants, and anything else we were to need. We learned the metro subway system and it soon became a very affordable way for us to see the entire city.
What a lovely lovely neighborhood. Plenty of eateries, shops and parks to relax. The views of the Cathedral are unsurpassed. We loved this building so much. We cannot think of one single negative. A perfect place for a perfect price. What a bargain! Thanks Arturo and Joanna for making our trip memorable.
So glad I chose this apartment! The view is exactly as the pictures reflect. Was able to walk everywhere including to the beach, Parc Guell, Gothic area. The 2 bedroom is very spacious, bigger than I thought it was going to be. Nice to have a "concierge" service. Safe, nice, central location.
This was by far our favorite rental while we travelled through Europe. It was clean and spacious with beautiful views. Highly recommended.
The property is in an excellent location. Steps from the Sagrada Familia. It has great views from the rooftop. This property does not have an elevator. The apartment was comfortable and clean. Great AC unit that worked very well. The apartment is located in a busy street. It can be a bit noisy but if your AC is running it drains out the street noise. The restaurant downstairs is very good. We had breakfast and dinner. We had paella and it was very good and so was the service. I recommend this apartment. Neighbors downstairs live there and do not want any noise. This was a great inconvenience as we are on vacation. Neighbors threatened to call the police. I told the reception and they took care of the problem. We were there for 3 nights and we only had that problem at check in unfortunately we arrived at midnight.
What an apartment, what a view, what a host!
We had a wonderful stay in a great location with breathtaking views. We haven't stopped telling friends about it. We will certainly be back.
It is very hard to fault anything at all about this property or its owners.
We stayed here for 4 nights over New Year. Artur and Joana are very helpful and informative. There are also plenty of leaflets in the apartment to see whats on offer in Barcelona. The apartment is modern but retains all the historic charm of the building. Our apartment was clean, very comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The night-time view of the Sagrada is quite moving. The view from the roof top terrace is well worth the hike. We sat at our dining table with the doors open drinking Cava looking at it as the New Year came in. The Metro is just around the corner and you can pick the tour bus up round the back of the Sagrada. We like to walk and walked miles round the city, even walked back from Las Ramblas(Artur did warn us that Las Ramblas is somewhere where pickpockets do operate by distraction so usual precautions apply) to the apartment 10.30 New Years Eve passing many young families and elderly couples and felt perfectly safe. Also if you do get lost you can see the Sagarda from everywhere and can quickly correct yourself. There is a market just round the corner where we bought chicken veg fruit bread and cake. Barcelona is a wonderful city to visit. We wished we had stayed longer and will return. We had a 2 day pass for the sightseeing bus. This is very well organised and will enable you to see much more. All the Christmas decorations were still up and the bus is open topped and they looked very effective. We went to Parc Guell this is free and offers good views of the city. The history museum is very informative and allows you a good understanding of Catalan ways and life, and on Sunday mornings is free. New Years Day we went into the Sagrada. We started to queue at 8.30 and was about 20th in the queue for 9.00 opening. If you go later you could queue for a couple of hours to get in.The inside is breathtaking it has not long been completed so we were very lucky to see it without all the workmen and scaffolding, It has a museum which is full of its history. There is also a section on the Popes visit too.Which was in part filmed from Arturs roof top terrace. New Years Eve evening we also watched the Montjuic Fountains which are spectacular. After wards we managed to catch the last tour bus back to the city centre. Would definately recommend
this apartment and Barcelona for both a weekend breaks and longer holiday stays.
