This is a fantastic cabin. Everything inside is gorgeous and the location is absolutely perfect. Very private and quiet and right on the river with great sounds and views. Very well furnished and makes you want to simply relax and do nothing......Simply the best cabin we have been to......

Awesome weekend

  • 4 of 5

We rented this cabin for our girls weekend, and we're very excited about the river and outdoor fire pit. The cabin was perfect for the three of us, and the indoor fireplace was an added bonus because it rained the first night we were there. The deck overlooking the river was the best place for breakfast and supper. We we entertained by the birds and squirrels that enjoyed the several bird feeders. Sloan was perfect to work with and the booking process was easy. We always enjoy our time together, but being at this cabin make the weekend even more enjoyable. Finding the cabin can be tricky, even with the written instructions, I suggest using the GPS, we would not have been able to find it without it. And definately go to the store before arriving...makes life a little easier. But it's not a bad ride back to town once you know the way.

There were however a couple things that did put a damper on our excitement . I suspected that there wouldn't be any cell service, but was content with the idea that we would have internet service....just so we could tell our families that we made the trip safely. Trust me, you do not want the everyday distractions to get in the way of the tranquil surroundings. We tried several times while we were there to get the internet running, and it was sketchy at best, but we were able to let our families know we were safe.

The other problem and to us this way a major one...we had to haul our trash out. We did not know about this until we read the note on the fridge door the day we arrived. Thankfully, we didn't have much and thought ok, no big deal, we'll just drop the one bag off . However, the trash drop off is not anywhere near the cabin. In fact, if we hadn't taken a picture of the directions, we would still be looking for it, and it was in the complete opposite directions we needed to go. Once we found it, the facility was locked with a sign on the gate saying that they were closed on Sunday and there would be a heafty fine for leaving trash on the outside of the gate. We ended up hauling that one bag of trash all the way home. This put a huge damper on our excitement of the trip and cabin.

I emailed Sloan after getting home about these concerns, and she was very gracious and wished we had contacted her while we were there. She mentioned that she would starting telling her guests about having to haul their trash. We have an awesome weekend and will keep this cabin on our lists for future girls weekend.

Secluded cabin with tranquil sounds of creek

  • 5 of 5

My family decided to book this cabin the day before we arrived. Sloan was great and handled everything quickly for us. The cabin was perfect for our family. We loved the creek directly behind the cabin. The sounds of the water were very relaxing. We were lucky enough to get snow two days while we were there. It was beautiful!!!! We saw cardinals in the tree right off of the deck every morning. Sloan and Greg stayed in touch with us and were very helpful. Thank you for sharing your cabin with our family.

Loved it!

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful place. It rained all but one day, but the cabin was so lovely, it didn't matter. We had a relaxing stay and a lovely time. Especially loved the jetted tub in the master bath and the cozy fireplace! Loft was a perfect spot for board games.

We had a really good time. We've gone to the mountains every year, whether it be northern GA or NC. Our family meets in the mntns for a little R and R for probably the last 25 years. The cabin is really nice and accomidated all of us quite well with room to move around. The photo's do it justice! And the owner is truly a nice person. I hope sometime to be able to visit there again. There was a cold snap after we got there. That was really nice! Big change. While going in and out of the resort there were so many deer and wild turkey. Amazing. So glad they are protected. (and being fed corn!) Thanks again for the opportunity to have stayed in your cabin. Nice River Cabin

  • 4 of 5

My family and I stayed at this cabin for a week in June. We had so much fun and adventure!! The cabin is located in the Coosawattee River Resort but is very secluded, we saw maybe 5 people the whole time we were there. We saw more wildlife than people. They have the best river entrance area that we saw while we were there. The river has a nice slow flowing area for younger kids to play in and a deep area for the older ones to swim in. The cabin is very big and spacious. Well appointed kitchen. The wrap around deck was very nice, we drank our coffee while watching the river every morning. It has a good view of the river from the porch. The hot tub was big with plenty of jets, and was very clean. Sloane was great to work with, very nice and easy going. There were a few thing that did stick out that didn't appear as advertised. I honestly hate even writing that because we had such a good time but for $150 a night I feel they should be corrected. The fire pit on the deck is wobbly and missing a lot of screws that keep it stable. There were spider webs/cobwebs in the master bath and bedroom. We couldn't use the master bedroom porch because of several wasp nest. The wrap around porch was not swept very well. Broken bird houses and porch ornaments shoved in corners. It was obvious nobody had swept under or behind things. The grill was nice and new but dirty. In the pictures the porch is new and shiny.....that is not the case. It needs to be pressured washed and sealed. Its not falling apart or anything like that, just needs a tlc. We notified Sloane of the spider webs and saw the cleaning lady as we were leaving and told her about the deck and wasp. That being said we had a wonderful time and I would recommend you stay here. We definitely made memories and had more fun than we could have imagined. Thank you Greg and Sloane for letting us stay at your river cabin!!!!
