Our holiday highlights:
- swimming in the sea below the villa from private beach - water so clear and warm.
- relaxing on the balconies watching the ships/fishermen, night-time beautiful lights of cruise liners, magnificent red sunsets
- breathtaking views from so many rooms
- Samaria Gorge hiking day amazing
- friendly owners /cleaners

The property is amazing! We had a wonderful stay.
Lovely villa with beautiful sunsets. Lots of room to relax with a lovely pool which overlook the sea
We had a great time staying at soudi bay view. The villa was lovely, with beautiful views and sunsets with various places to chill and relax within the villa. Plenty of bedrooms with air conditioning and the kitchen has lots of useful appliances. The pool is lovely and overlooks the bay. You can take a little walk down a hill to a tiny little beach and swin in the sea( the walk isn’t particularly nice though) but worth it for the sea. Would highly recomment to anyone
Amazing Views and Excellent Accommodations!
What a beautiful place! We have 13 guests at the house from 6 months old to 75 years. The house was clean and well stocked for our arrival.
I can't say enough about the views over the bay. The sunsets our truly amazing and we enjoyed them every night.
The pool was fantastic for all. From the baby and toddlers to to grandma, everyone enjoyed pool time!
The rooms were great. Everyone in our party was able to have their own space and they provided cribs and highchairs for the kiddos. The living area was comfortable. We never turning on the TV, so not sure about channels, etc. We were too busy looking at the views. :) Kitchen had everything we needed. We did end up buying plastic cups to have by the pool, etc. The outdoor BBQ area was great and we enjoyed a few nights of outdoor cooking.
I would recommend this house to my friends and family. It was great and the staff was very nice and accommodating.
Things to note: The driveway is steep. We had 3 cars and a big van which made it challenging at times, but if you had one or 2 cars it would be easier, just very steep.
The beach. Honestly, I wouldn't even bother unless you are into tough hikes. It is very steep to go down and up. The beach itself is all rocks. We found a little patch of sand to hang out in for a few before making the trek back up. Only went one time.
There is a restaurant you can walk to, but never did because it is a hike up the hill and very dangerous road to walk on once you get out of the driveway. With kids we didn't feel it was safe. The grocery store is a couple miles away and has everything. There is also a cute town a mile or so past that. You will find everything you need here there.
Recommendations to the property: A table and chairs by the pool would be nice. The top balcony has amazing views, but no furniture to enjoy up there. A few chairs would also be great up there. We left a bunch of pool floats at the house. Hopefully you leave them for your next guest to enjoy.
Great house, very relaxing and beautiful! Book it, you won't regret it!
it is agreat property in a great location with plenty room. the only negative were the mattresses that need to be replaced
Great location. Site not as good as expected
Very musty and damp in the units. One not cleaned for our arrival. Bathrooms had mildew. Wonderful location and beautiful view. Owners didn’t think we’d need second unit because there were only 8 of us but we paid for both knowing we would need the extra bathroom and bedroom. Beach was treacherous to get to and path needed some maintenance. At least having the thistles removed would have helped
The villa is located in Kalami, between Chania and Kalyves. Kalami is a delightful traditional hamlet, situated between the ancient Turkish fort of Izeddin and the coastal road to Kalives. Kalami has numerous sandy beaches and pebbly coves. There is also a wonderful kafenion overlooking Souda bay, the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a local drink as the sun goes down.
