About Charlene Rathbun
My husband and I both have lived in Moscow since childhood. We've been married for almost three decades and enjoy sharing our farm with others while meeting new people!
Why Charlene Rathbun chose Moscow
Our family decided to build a handicap-accessible home for our daughter and chose to build with some property several years ago ... The farm started with just two dairy goats and has grown! Today we have 18 goats, lots of chickens & ducks, 3 dairy cows with one heifer calf, and a few beef cows. We love our farm life!
What makes this Bed And Breakfast unique
Our bed and breakfast suites (we have two!) offer handicap accessibility while enjoying multiple farm animals. We have a sidewalk that meanders around our property with views of all our critters. All the while, it is just a few miles from Moscow, all on paved roads ... it takes less than ten minutes to get to downtown Moscow. Close proximity to town while the benefits of beautiful skies & country living!

Quiet get away
Very comfortable room, bed is very soft and comfy. Not too far from U of I, was there for Mom's weekend. I am an early riser so the basement apt. was not a problem for me. I was up at 6 and did not hear owners upstairs until around 7ish. Great view.
Comfortable and spatious farm suite
The room was much bigger than expected with a very large bathroom. The bed was especially plush and broken in. There are so many farm animals to see. Plus it has a good view of the surrounding Palouse hills. Highly recommended for couples and handicapped.
We’d be happy to host you again any time!
Everything you need!
This place is so cute. It has everything you need and nothing you don't. The owners did a great job setting up this studio.
Happy to have been able to host you.
We enjoyed our 2 day stay at Meadowlark with it’s close proximity to Moscow and biking trails. Unit was clean with thoughtful touches like fresh cookies and continental breakfast. Would recommend a stay here with the following caveats: this is a basement unit and noise from above can be prominent. The owners are early risers so bring ear plugs if you do not want to rise with them. Lastly, the king bed needs to be replaced. We felt we were sleeping downhill. Overall, a good value for the money.
Happy to have hosted you here on our farm and for you comments. It is indeed a working farm and quiet hours are adhered to between 9 pm and 7 am. After that we are up and about caring for our animals. The master suite does come with a noise machine and we always remind our guests ahead of time that it is a working farm! We will look at the bed although you are the first guests to comment. Others have let us know how comfortable it is!
