With all of the major changes going on in the on-line world of vacation rentals, there are a few things you need to know about this OWNER operated VRBO property.

1)Beth Lamm began renting her first home on Folly Beach 14-years ago. Beth now owns 3 homes on Folly. "Lamm's End Beach Bungalow" (343443) "Lamm's End Cottage" (68889) and this her first home "Lamm's End Breathtaking Views".

2)Warm southern hospitality is what she does best.. the reason why Beth Lamm was chosen as the 'Personality Behind the Home' in the Carolina's by this website.

3)Please take a few minutes to read a few of the more than 150-GUEST entered reviews of Beth's homes. More than anything else, those reviews reflect her commitment to her guests.

4)Beth Lamm is a completely hands-on owner. There is no agency, no middle man involvement. You will deal directly with Beth from the time you book one of her homes through your stay on Folly Beach.

5)Beth will not rent to anyone she has not spoken with directly. So please feel free to give her a call and she would be happy to answer your questions and to ensure that her homes are a good fit for your group or family. Beth will not rent to groups larger than the septic capacity of her homes. No weddings, no house parties, no reunions.

Lamm's End is ALL about the VIEWS. This property is located along the most captivating stretch of Folly Beach. Out front... the ocean. Out back... our dock, Morris Island Light House, Folly River, and Charleston Harbor. The views on the island do not get any better than this.

Enjoy the sights, sounds and ambiance of the ocean sipping morning coffee rocking on the front porch--- and for the early birds watching the sunrise. At the end of the day, stretch out and relax on the back porch with your favorite beverage and enjoy the hot pink, setting sun over the Folly River.

Located across the street from the beach, Lamm's End is a reverse plan with the living room, dining room and kitchen areas on the top floor.. all having great views of either the ocean, Folly River or both! A small bedroom behind the living area has it's own private bath. The downstairs includes the master bedroom & a private bath., two more bedrooms, a bath and a full sized laundry. The house sleeps eight.

Beth focuses on creature comforts, an exceptionally clean home, high quality 300-thread count all cotton bedding and linens. Creative cooks are not disappointed. The granite/stainless kitchen is well-equipped with appropriate pots, pans, oils, spices and gadgets to easily whip up a delicious meal from the abundance of fresh caught seafood and local produce available on the island.

Smaller groups might also want to consider our other two homes on Folly. 'Lamm's End Cottage' sleeps 7 and 'Lamm's End Beach Bungalow' sleeps 6. Both the cottage and beach bungalow have great access to the beach and downtown Folly Beach. And those homes are dog friendly with Beth's consent.

Due to the comfort and health of our family and guests, there is a STRICT non-smoking policy anywhere on the premises. NO house parties or weddings permitted under ANY circumstances. The address of 'Lamm's End' is 1656 East Ashley Avenue.

Please be aware all holidays are upcharged. There is a $500 refundable damage deposit that is returned after the housekeeper clears the house.

About Beth Lamm

Beth looked for beach property from the coast of NC to Georgia for 2 years. The minute she drove on to Folly, it felt perfect. Relaxed, laid-back and only 11 miles from Charleston, SC! Lamm's End was the second house she looked at that day and before she walked in she knew this was it. Standing on the back porch sold her. The views are that amazing. Back in Florence, SC ...hubby, Jim has just come in from a busy overnight in the ER when Beth called to tell him she'd finally found the beach and house and wanted to buy it there and then. 'Can't it wait till the weekend when I can see it?' he asked. 'Nope... gotta do it now. It will be sold before you get here'. Exhausted, Jim gave in and the rest as they say is history. Beth is a licensed real estate agent and is thrilled to pursue her passion for real estate in Charleston & Florence, SC. Jim and Beth are proud parents of Danny and Helen. Danny just graduated from the Naval Academy & is an Officer in the Marine Corps. Helen studies Chinese at Wofford College.

There is no place like Folly. The island includes an eclectic mix of people ... from bohemian artists, to 20-something surfer dudes, to wealthy retired boomers... to regular Moms, Dads and their kids. You can't tell them apart on Folly... tee shirts, flip, flops and shorts are the dress code. They all come to enjoy a beautiful, natural island and a laid-back island lifestyle. Likewise, Folly also has a wide range of housing from multi-million dollar homes to charming beach cottages that have been in southern families for many generations. Folly is a fresh relief from the manicured, Disney-like beaches that so many vacation communities have become. If a golf-gated community is what you're looking for, Folly is not the place for you.

What makes this house unique

Beth is a completely hands-on owner. No management company... just one on one with Beth. Lamm's End, Lamm's End Cottage(506 E Cooper Ave) and her newest property Lamm's End Bungalow (314 W Cooper Avenue) are improved constantly. The house keeping team lead by Carmen and Jose are unsurpassed. Beth pays close attention to creature comforts... comfortable beds, high thread count all cotton bedding, down comforters. This is a turn-key operation. Everything --- from toilet paper, paper towels, laundry soap, dish & dishwashing soap, hand soap, spices--- is provided. The family loves to cook and her kitchens reflects that. Hundreds of guest entered on-line reviews of Lamm's End Properties demonstrate many years of happy, satisfied, returning guests.

Amazing visit, Beautiful property

One of the things why we love renting Beth's properties, because you deal directly with the owner. She's very accessible and takes a sincere interest in your stay.

Her homes are always tastefully decorated and it feels like home away from home with the amenities within the house.

The views are fantastic. Sunrises in the front of the house and sunsets in the back over the marsh. Views of the lighthouse are also in the back of the house.

One of the really great things about this sleepy little beach town, is that if you want more things to do, historic Charleston is only 20 minutes away. This is the 4th time we've stayed at one of Beth's properties and we will be back!

The perfect house for our family

Three generations loved Lamm's End for its comfort, furnishings and amazing views. We saw gorgeous rainbows over both the marsh and ocean. The location of the house was perfect for us - the quiet neighborhood - yet it was so convenient to explore the island and enjoy "downtown" Folly Beach as well.

Great owner, location, and home!

We needed a last minute Easter rental because our airbnb rental in Charleston had a gas leak and was infested with bugs. Beth was fantastic and helped us out! We have stayed in Folly Beach before and this place was by far the best. It is nicely decorated and super clean. We would stay here again.

Great Way To Celebrate Sibling Reunion

Our first time to Folly Beach. Enjoyed the proximity to beach with great views from home. House was very clean and had everything we needed. Other than some nasty little bugs, we were able to enjoy the lovely front porch and back deck. Easy drive into Charleston which made for some nice day visits. Would recommend any of Beth's properties knowing what a professional owner she was to deal with throughout the planning.

We rented the condo for a couples weekend in February and it was wonderful. We had all the necessities to cook one night that were needed and enjoyed the beautiful views of Folly from both porches. We can't wait to come back and visit! Beth was wonderful to rent from and provided all the needed information in one easy document. The beds were EXTREMELY comfortable, and we never ran out of hot water or towels. Highly recommended! Thanks for everything Beth!

Perhaps the best way to sum up Folly is that it is not Disney. An 11-mile drive from historic Charleston, it has an eclectic local flavor which embraces artists, surfers and wealthy boomer's alike! Remember, the operative word on Folly is laid back so if you are looking for a relaxing vacation this is it.

'Lamm's End' is located at the northern end of the island. We are a short stroll to the old coastguard station, which is a fabulous place to view the Morris Lighthouse and to spot dolphin frolicking in the ocean. This part of Folly is hypnotic with views of not only the ocean... but equally and some say more amazing views of the Folly River. 'Lamm's End' is architecturally designed to maximize ocean and river views.

The home was extensively remodeled this spring. We also added the crabbing pier at the back of the property which is a great spot to relax and enjoy views of the marsh and un-inhabited Morris Island.
