Comfortable, well equipped and nicely furnished, in good quiet location.

  • 4 of 5

We stayed for a week with our 3yr old son to visit family locally and go to the major Hampshire tourist attractions and it worked very well as a base for all these things, we were able to have a relaxing week with everything that we needed.

A lovely holiday property in an ideal location.

We had a very enjoyable stay at this holiday property. It was nicely furnished and well equipped. The location was great for exploring East Hampshire and West Sussex. I would certainly recommend this property to family and friends.

Ideal for four

  • 5 of 5

My family thoroughly enjoyed our short stay in the Barn and echo comments of other reviews. The Barn is well equipped, very clean and consistent with the description and the photos on the website. The location was ideal for us. Peace and quiet in a small village with good pubs nearby, easy access by car to the explore the coast line and countryside of W Sussex and Hampshire and for our family, easy access from Heathrow by car and from London by train. Would happily stay again.

Will return if in the area!

  • 5 of 5

My daughter, Grandson and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Barn! The Barn is well appointed, clean and up-to-date. Liz was very nice and helpful. Horses trotting and stars through the bedroom windows (on a clear night), great place!

Great little place in a very nice location

  • 5 of 5

My wife, daughter, and I stayed in “the barn” for 4 nights in August. It was great! It was very comfortable, with modern amenities and a nice atmosphere. We enjoyed the fully-equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and a good-sized fridge, and the washer and dryer. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was very nice. It was a very good base for our time in Hampshire. It’s in a small, quiet village, but a nice supermarket and other amenities are just a short drive away. Major roads are close enough that travel to our destinations was easy. The owners were responsive and attentive, and refunded our security deposit to our credit card promptly.

The Barn is set in a beautiful traditional Hampshire village and is ideal for walking, cycling or sight-seeing. The homes of both Jane Austin and Gilbert White, the famous botanist are within a short cross country walk.

Lasham, the UK's largest gliding centre is 8 miles away, and for steam enthusiasts the Watercress line is in Alton. The ancient city of Winchester is less than 30 minutes drive and for those who like shopping Gunwharf Quay in Portsmouth and Guildford are close by.

Alton has a direct train service into Waterloo so day trips to London are also possible.
