St.Ives and The Organic Panda

The Organic Panda, surrounded by mature Cornish palms is an end of terrace 3 storey elegant Victorian house with panoramic views of St. Ives Bay and Godrevy Lighthouse. It is only 2 minutes walk to the award winning Porthminster Beach, and 5 minutes to the centre of St. Ives.

Spacious and light, with chunky reclaimed timber furniture and a vibrant in-house exhibition of original art. The perfect place to relax and unwind, suitable for family gatherings, wedding parties and special occasions. There is free wi-fi throughout the house. Welcome pack provided, please let us know your special requirements. There is also parking for two medium sized cars.

The open plan living and dining area has a comfy sofa, giant beanbag, 40” TV and Xbox 360 Kinect, 10 seater rustic dining table, original sanded floors and large bay windows.

The very large fully equipped unique kitchen with additional seating, has a 6 ring gas cooker, granite work surfaces, slate tiled floor, and a stable door leading to the garden.

The well designed, contemporary and stylish bedrooms comprise of 3 doubles and 2 twins (4 with en-suites). Our 6th bedroom, known as the Den, is accessed through a secret bookcase ‘hatch’, a loft conversion with Calibre balcony windows and double bed suitable for children or romantic hide-away.

The bedrooms have carpeted or sanded floors, organic bamboo bedding, duck down or hypoallergenic duvets (upon request) and digital t.v./dvd. The en-suites and bathroom all have organic bamboo towels and complimentary toiletries.

Plants abound at The Organic Panda with a grassed area to the front of the property, fabulous Cornish plants and a charming secluded rear garden with seating area and barbeque - a perfect suntrap.

The Organic Panda is committed to good environmental practice and holds a gold award from Green Tourism.

About The Owner

Build a New Life in the Country on Channel 5 (2005) followed our adventures converting a derelict hotel into a contemporary b&b, now being offered as a holiday home. Peter is a photographer and history student and Andrea an artist and theatre designer.

The Owner purchased this house in 2005

The Organic Panda has been sympathetically restored and our choice of furniture and interior décor hand - picked with love. The Organic Panda hosts a vibrant in-house exhibition by Andrea and her family, many of the works are for sale, some of which are in national and international collections. The curtains in the living room, designed by Dorothy Carr were featured in a recent exhibition at the V & A. Our commitment to good design and sustainable practice has informed and shaped many of our decisions. We hope you enjoy our choices.

What makes this house unique

It was love at first sight, the stunning location, surrounding garden, amazing views particularly from the master bedroom and the attic bedroom. The azure blue water, golden sands and dazing light. wow!

Lovely property in a perfect position

We enjoyed a lovely week in the 'Organic Panda'. The house is very well apportioned and is equipped with everything you need to make your holiday comfortable. The bedrooms are all lovely and spacious (the girls especially loved 'the den' - perfect) and the views from them are spectacular. Being only a few minutes walk from the town, the house is in a fab position and the two parking spaces are a god send too. This is a fab property and is especially good for larger parties. A big thumbs up from us... 5 out of 5.....

A spacious house, in an ideal location

A spacious house, perfectly located, a few minutes stroll from both the beach and the town. Also only a few minutes walk from the station if you are using the train. The majority of the rooms are ensuite and all have plenty of space. The main lounge has enough seating as does the dining room. There are all the amenities needed such as washing machine, dishwasher, parking and a BBQ. The owner was very helpful when we arranged the booking and throughout the run up, ensuring that it was a very easy process and we felt at home as soon as we arrived.

Fantastic stay , great accommodation. The facilities and location were great and ticked all the boxes for all of the party that were there ! Beautiful large family house in the heart of St Ives

From the very beginning the 'Orangic Panda's' went out of their way to accommodate our needs. We had a lovely welcome to the house, with a generous hamper full of goodies and a real Christmas tree that added to the festive feel.

This house is extremely well equipped, with everything we needed and much more! The house is in a prime location in the heart of st Ives. We've been coming to St Ives for many years and the Orangic Panda is by far the best house we have stayed in, absolutely ideal for large families - without a doubt we'll be back.

Thank you to both 'Orangic Panda's' for letting us stay in your wonderful house, Christmas was magical and we even managed to fit in our wedding!!!

The house was comfortable, homely and incredibly well located

We loved this house - we had 5 children in our party of 12 (there's plenty of room!) and the house was really geared to them - a particularly nice touch was the sandcastle mould and the amazing, large leather bean bag in the living room. This was permanently occupied by most of them throughout the week. Lots to do in St Ives and the surrounding countryside, but it was always nice to come back to the house at the end of the day. We would strongly recommend it.
