Really felt like I was a resident of the beautiful Mt. Desert Island community for a couple weeks. Everything was close by and the views are gorgeous. Nancy has an incredible little cottage home where I was so comfortable. She did a great job as a host and was lovely live next to. Will definitely be back!
Cute little cottage well stocked. Close to Acadia.
Nancy has thought of everything you need for your stay, from pots and pans to soft towels in the bathroom. There were paper towels, toilet paper, even coffee and filters in the kitchen! The cottage has a queen-sized bed (not double like the description says). Great TV. You are close to Acadia National Park. Cabin is in a quiet neighborhood, two houses away from the intersection. Very quaint little village, so quiet there. Nice driveway to park your car. Heat in the cabin works almost too good. We had to turn it way down as it runs you out of the house with heat! Nancy is good to answer any questions you have. Sweet lady!
Great property, close to everything. Clean. Wonderful place to stay.
The cottage we stayed in was very clean and the host, Nancy Meyers, was very gracious and accommodating. The area where the cottage is located is very quiet. The location was great, near restaurants and food stores and only 3 miles to Bar Harbor. It was an excellent starting point to explore Arcadia National Park. My wife and I enjoyed the stay immensely. The only negative was road construction between Hull's Cove and Bar Harbor but that is no reflection on the accommodations. It did not dampen our enthusiasm.
Great location, charming cottage with comforts of home.
Couldn't have been more pleased with our first VRBO experience. Great location, close to Acadia park entrance and downtown Bar Harbor. This place has everything you need to have a fun vacation. The owner is very hospitable and clearly wants you to have a good time during your stay. Note to the techies: CRT TV with satellite dish for basic cable channels. WiFi is reliable and fast enough to stream. Note to the foodies: 2 burner Weber gas grill, 12 cup drip coffee maker, microwave, efficiency sized 4 burner gas range with enough cookware for almost any need, toaster, but didn't see a blender. Gas station and convenience store in walking distance.
This was the perfect place to stay in Bar Harbor.
Nancy is wonderful to rent from. She was available to answer any questions and the rental has information (menus, magazines, and brochures) about activies to do in the area. The place has a gas grill and outdoor furniture to easily enjoy meals outside. The property is in walking distance to the visitor center at Acadia National Park and public transit makes it easy to get around Acadia and Bar Harbor. There are little gems such as a sculpture garden and a lake close by. You won't need to rely much on your car as this property is in the perfect location and the charming setting makes it easy to realx and have a good time.
From our cottage you can enjoy an early morning walk along the cove beach or easily access the many carriage paths and hiking trails of Acadia National Park. The park entrance is only 0.5 mile from the cottage. You may wish to take advantage of the free bus service 'Island Explorer' and visit the other villages here on Mount Desert Island or possibly enjoy a sunset cruise in Frenchman's Bay aboard the Natalie Todd. Spend a day browsing the many gift shops and galleries and enjoy a leisurely lunch at one of the fine restaurants.
