Tropical breezes, ocean view, and sunny white-sand beaches make this an ideal Kauai vacation rental house.
Centrally located in the quaint 19th century plantation town of Kapaa, enjoy easy access to all the best that Kauai offers. And then unwind and relax in the private and peaceful setting of this newly remodeled, traditional Hawaiian home. Sit on the spacious veranda and watch the coconut trees sway in the warm breeze, and watch waves roll over the reef in a translucent blue ocean.
The home is newly remodeled throughout, immaculate, and newly furnished in traditional Island style.
Upstairs is a large ocean-facing master suite with new California king-size, an adjoining sun-room with two new twin beds, and a deck with 180-degree view to the ocean.
Downstairs are two additional bedrooms, each with new queen-size beds and their own full bathrooms. The kitchen, dining room, and central family room face the ocean and offer plenty of space, sunlight, and comfort for all.

My wife and had been coming to Kauai for over 30 years and always dreamed of buying a house here and after years of saving we took the leap and bought Hale Niu. We knew we were going to need help paying the mortgage if we were going to be able to retire here so we rented it as a vacation rental. Unfortunately my wife died suddenly in Dec. 2008 which left me lost after 42 years together but I knew she would want me to try and keep the house which I've been able to do. However as the resession has deepened and rentals have drastically fallen off I'm barely hanging on and hoping things turn around soon so I can keep our dream alive.
Tim purchased this house in 2006
Get a little taste of what it's like to live in Kauai !!
The house is within walking distance of the beach, markets, restaurants, stores, walk/bike path and churches (Kauai has more churches per capita than any place else in the USA). Wonderful large front grass yard with loads of coco palms. A little taste. of paradise
Our two families (5 adults and 3 young kids) stayed a week at Hale Niu and had a great time. The house was plenty big for all of us, and it was incredibly helpful to have 3 bathrooms (1 per room). The big lawn was perfect for our kids (4, 3, and 1.5), as was the baby beach which is about a 5 minute walk from the property. The house was perfectly centrally located for us (can walk to restaurants, stores, shops, and easy access to highway), but also quiet and private. Definitely a funky little island house, but its clean and nicely kept. Would totally recommend this place for families with young children. Great place!
We were still in East Coast mode on the first morning we arrived in Kapaa. Seven of us went to the beach to watch the sunrise. It was spectacular and the perfect beginning for our vacation. The Beach is only a three-minute walk from the house as is the charming town. The layout of the home was perfect for our family. After a few glitches were taken care of, we were able to enjoy the home and traveling the Island to many wondereful places. The Catamaran Ride up the Napoli Coast was spectacular. We saw the whales swimming and the dolphins truly were jumping out of the water. It is easy to go on and on about the wonderful things to see and do on the Island ... the Waimea Canyon Lookout, Waipoo Falls, Polihale Beach, Hanalei, the amazing surfers on the beach, Kilauea Lighthouse, bike riding along the Coconut Coast, etc., etc.; none will forget the Luau at Smith Family Farm and the boat ride along the Wailua River. After all excursions, we could relax and enjoy the comforts of the lovely and charming house we were able to call home for 9 days.
We can't stop talking about how perfectly the house was laid out for our extended family. The weather was perfect and in January no less. We loved Kapaa and the whole central location. It was just sad when we had to leave. We ate every meal at the house. Costco and Safeway are near and we had fabulous food. The kitchen (galley) is so conventient. We used the grill 3 times. Grilled pineapple is the best! The kids loved all the toys and games from the laundry room. Our trip was a little slice of heaven. Thanks so much.
This was a great place for my family to meet for vacation. (4 adults) The house had everything a person could want from games, wine glass, dishes, towels & etc. The veranda, with chairs was a most relaxing place to watch the wind surfers sail and relax after a day of sightseeing. Everyone involved with this rental was terrific to work with and we will be checking with them again.
Everything met our expectations. It was a great house to stay in as a family with older children. Separate bedrooms , great common areas, plus the best porch ever.
We had a great stay. The house is comfy and well equipped. Lots of room for our gang.
We loved the kitchen and front porch. The baby beach was nice for our little ones,
the other beaches near by were great for everyone. Lygate close and real nice.
Kappa is a good town to be in, all you'll need and more.
The owner is so friendly and helpful. Really great place.
