Beautifully restored 1850's beach house one block from Newport's dramatic Cliff Walk. Feel as if you've stepped into a 19th century beach house with its 10 foot ceilings, but with modern amenities. As you enter the house, left of the foyer on the first floor with its bathing suit display from the early 1900's, is the living room with a 50' large screen TV and home theater surround sound, L-shaped sofa, wooden games and books for your relaxing pleasure. French doors lead from the living room to the large open kitchen. The renovated kitchen has an island and seating area for friends and family to pull up a stool and join in the conversation! The kitchen has a microwave, professional DCS gas stove, coffeemaker, toaster, dishes (both casual and formal Wedgwood), utensils, glasses and cookware. To the right of the foyer is the formal dining room. The original marble fireplace and piano make the dining room a warm and inviting space.
2nd Floor House Layout: On the right is a large master suite with a queen size bed and two closets. A second bedroom has two twin beds. Both rooms on the right have separate doors that lead to the full bath with tub/shower.
To the left of the stairs is a second master suite with a queen size bed and sitting area with a 1.5 size chair that opens to a twin size bed. There is another room on the left with a full-size bed - both rooms with separate doors lead to another full size bathroom with a shower. There is off-street parking for 3 vehicles.
Arrangements can be made for a housekeeper, if desired.

Why Ann chose Newport
We've been booking our beautiful home in Newport since we purchased and renovated it in 2003. We pride ourselves on treating our booking groups as if they are our friends staying at the house!

Warm and comfortable home in an unbeatable location
We are a 3 generation family of 8 (6 adults and 2 children) away for a long family weekend. This house is about a 10 minute walk from Easton's Beach and the beginning of The Cliff Walk and about a 10 minute walk to Newport's downtown.
The kitchen is extremely well equipped and the dining room table seats eight. We did not have wonderful weather and so spent more time in the house than we would have otherwise. The kids enjoyed a movie from the home's extensive collection of DVDs and we closed the french doors to the kitchen so the adults could socialize. We played games at the dining room table every night after dinner and it was so much fun that dining seating for 8 will be a "must have" for future rentals.
The house has 4 good size bedrooms -- 2 are very generous -- and 2 bright bathrooms upstairs. The house is close to the street but very quiet at night. I wanted a property where everyone would have a "real" bed (no pull-out couches or futons) and this exceeded my expectations. If we return to Newport, we will definitely stay here again!
Place was as advertised and in a perfect location 1/2 way between the ocean and town - both walkable
The owners were extremely friendly and accessible - called and texted to make sure we arrived smoothly. The house was extremely warm and pleasant and stocked with a ton of amenities to make the stay even more enjoyable. Ample parking, large outdoor area, grill, peaceful front patio that wraps around the house.
Town itself was incredible - would recommend the property, the owners, and Newport to anyone considering a getaway.
The house was amazing!
Walking distance to everything, roomy and the back yard is a welcome refuge.
Beautiful home, great location and perks!
This was our second time vacationing in Newport and we loved it. We were at first concerned with the distance to the beach, but it ended up working out beautifully. Some of us enjoyed a walk each morning, while others took advantage of the parking pass. The storage locker was a life saver with all of the kids items! It was also really nice to be able to change course and take a quick walk into the city for restaurants and sight seeing. The house was incredibly well maintained and the backyard area was a great place to gather after a day in the sun. Ann made us feel so welcome and we will definitely return if we're able to!
Perfect family vacation
We loved 1850's beach house! It was fully equipped with everything we needed and walking distance to shops, beaches and restaurants. I understand the house is historic but the only thing I would change is having AC. However, the breeze through the big windows made up for that. We definitely will stay again. Also, great for the price! Thank you Ann for lovely accommodations for our family vacation.
Great location! Very well kept older home with charm and beautiful kitchen
Our family enjoyed this home very much. It was very comfortable for 6 people and a 1 year old baby. Although we did not do any cooking, the kitchen was very well equipped. Ann was very easy to reach when I had questions. It is walking distance to beach, cliff walk and into downtown Newport. It was a great find for us!
