About Steve Snow

We are a family of four that look to provide everything we want when we are on vacation. We hope you choose to stay with us at Seawillows, Thank you!

Steve Snow purchased this house in 2004

Why Steve Snow chose Harwich - Harwichport

We fell in love with this house and have put our hearts into renovating it. When we were walking through the house with the previous owner Kim, (who is a sweetheart), we stopped on the back staircase, looked at each other and said we have to figure out how to buy this place. And Kim, who was selling the house by owner accepted our offer! We love coming down and spending time down here with our family and friends. We were lucky to find Seawillows, and love spending time down here.

What makes this house unique

There are very few properties in this price range that can accomodate 12+ people in one place with beds in this price range. It is an excellent value - great property at a great price. Our house is great for families with kids, with a lot of books, games, toys, video's and separate spaces. Most kids love to play hide and seek since there are many nooks and crannies and two staircases. Toddler beds, cribs, pack'n'plays, High chair, etc.

Also great for people who want ability to walk to restaurants and shops. Many great food options within a casual walk down Willow street. Also some fantastic shoppes of all kinds in the same area!

Guestbook comments from the owner

I just wanted to take the time to let you know what an incredible time we had at the "Sea Willows" cottage. We have been heading to the Cape for about 12 years now, and typically we rent 3 separate cottages for our 3 families. It was nice, but not always convenient, especially with little ones how need to get to bed early. Having everyone under one roof made for such an easy time for all! The grown-ups had their place to relax at the end of the day, the kids had theirs (with more toys than they knew what to do with), and no one had to leave the fun early to take a little one to bed!

Having all the amenities there was especially nice; it definitely made the packing easier! And the kitchen was much more roomier than the picture led on. In fact, the entire cottage was much bigger than we expected.

So THANKS! again, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

West Harwich is located in the mid-Cape area of Cape Cod on Nantucket Sound with miles of ocean and freshwater beaches. The Cape Cod Rail Trail for bicycling runs through the town, and there are well over 600 acres of open space and conservation lands for walking, jogging and birdwatching. Launch a kayak or boat around the corner from the house on the Herring River. Miniature golf, trampolines and go-go carts, are just minutes away, as are restaurants, day spas, summer stock, movie theaters, Cape Cod summer league baseball and great shopping. Wonderful public golf courses and tennis are close by. Harwich Port and its three gorgeous harbors and shops is just down the road.

Other Activities: wonderful crabbing on Herring River

Spacious and Gracious!

  • 5 of 5

Ours was a large, multi-family, multi-generational group. We loved the shady yard, large outdoor dining area, space to set up outdoor games, little kid play area, and outdoor shower. Indoors was decorated in a pleasing pallette of colors and beach related objects. There were individual air conditioning units, a well-appointed kitchen areas with newer appliances, a great wi-fi connection, a children's playroom, large capacity washer and dryer upstairs (with soap!), a wonderful porch with a table and separate seating area, as well as a living room with a sectional and large screen tv. If you have small children, you will find a crib, toddler bed, travel crib, and a two-seater stroller available. We liked the funky layout of the upstairs; each room had its own charm and privacy. The owners couldn't have been more gracious and accomodating. I would love to stay there again.

A great place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

This is a great house for a multiple families with small children. The kitchen is the best of any rental we've stayed in, the house is clean, the beds are very comfortable, and we enjoyed the home's antique charms. The neighborhood is quiet and it's an easy walk to shops and restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic! Beautiful classic old home with modernization in all the right places!

  • 5 of 5

This is a wonderful vacation home and property! Updated kitchen and bath and wonderful beachy decor! All bedrooms have great quilts, blankets and sheets! All pretty and new! Towels too!

Besides the very well taken care of home, the yard is great fun too! 7 kids barely came inside! We were able to eat outside every meal!

Finally the location is perfect! Many beaches very nearby, and a drive to Orleans or Wellfleet is easy!

Very highly recommend this property!

Steve and Maura also great to work with!

Wonderful family reunion week

  • 4 of 5

This property was a great place for our extended family of 16 to spend a week. We rented both the house and the barn to have everyone fit comfortably. We used the barn for our four teenagers to stay, since they liked to stay up late and sleep in.

The yard was PERFECT! We ate outside every evening, since we were blessed with gorgeous weather all week. We set up bocci, croquet, corn hole, Frisbee, a hammock and used the moveable fire pit for making s'mores. It was my father's favorite place to be as we all gathered around and just visited.

The beaches are close - we were able to walk to one, and drive to others. There is a kayak rental close by, shopping, restaurants, ice cream shops, putt putt and music played outdoors all very close within a few minutes drive. Some of us even took the ferry to Martha's Vineyard for the day.

The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is the lack of A/C. It was my error, and I didn't realize there wouldn't be AC. My dad is almost 80 and in hot weather, it can be difficult. But as I said, we were blessed with great weather and after one or two hot days, it cooled enough and the homeowners had plenty of fans, so we hardly noticed.

There is a lovely closed in porch that we also gathered in the evening to watch TV and played lots of board games, and did puzzles. The homeowners have a ton of movies, games, puzzles and books for guests to use while they are there. It's really great for families with young children.

Be sure to pay attention to which beach you get an access pass from. We somehow had some of our family members get a beach pass to one beach, while others got the correct pass to closer beaches. It can cost $20 per car per day at a beach, so make sure you all get the correct pass. The owner can advise you.

There are great outdoor showers when you return to the beach. The home is older, but clean and the kitchens in the main house were updated and beautiful. It came in handy to have two kitchens! Plenty of dishes, pots, pans, silverware to cook and eat with. The owners do a nice job of making you feel at home.

We left a set of our keys behind (oops) and the owner was nice and sent them along once we realized it and contacted him. We found them to be nice and responsive to any questions we had throughout the week as well as before we came. They have a great book of suggestions, maps, and menus. Look for that when you first arrive.

We made great memories!
