Nice clean quiet place

We were awed by the accommodations both inside the unit, the patio and the surrounding grounds. Our hostess Michelle made us feel very welcome into her home. We learned about Native History, for she is a strong woman: a mother earth.

We actually stayed in another cottage on this property, so these comments won't be specifically about the Bears Den. However, a few comments about the property as a whole... The owner needed to switch us to another (more expensive) unit on short notice, but didn't charge us the difference. She is friendly and professional, and obviously works hard to maintain and decorate the entire property - the units and the grounds - in a way that is welcoming and fun and very well-supplied with virtually anything you might need. She doesn't have a lot of rules or fees for every little thing, and instead trusts that her guests will be conscientious and civilized. A good location - out of town, but not too far, and convenient to both Mesa Verde and Canyons of the Ancients.
