Overview

Perugia area Villa Rental Photos and Description

Villa, 6 Bedrooms, 4 Baths, (Sleeps 12-13)

This ideally situated estate has been featured in a local Italian television drama as the comfortable home of one of the characters. The villa, dating back to the 19th century, sleeps up to 12 comfortably and has been completely remodeled with two full kitchens (one upstairs and one downstairs), a living room with dining table (upstairs) and a comfortable sitting room (downstairs) in addition to the six bedrooms and four baths. The kitchens each have a range, oven, full refrigerator and dishwasher. Outside there is a large terrace with a table that seats up to 12 comfortably situated under a jasmine covered pergola. In addition, there is a large BBQ for grilling. The pool is completely private and is situated just steps from the front door of the villa. It is surrounded by comfortable lounge chairs, tables and umbrellas. This year, we have also added free WIFI for our guests.

The villa has three bedrooms and two baths on each level. The beds are either a king-size or two twins. In several of the bedrooms the beds can be either a single king or two twins as you prefer. Two of the bedrooms have ensuite baths and the others share hall baths. Given its spaciousness and layout, the villa has ample space for a large group with plenty of comfort and privacy for all.

The estate is located midway between Rome and Florence near the small town of Chiusi, an ancient Etruscan Capital, where there is an excellent Etrucan museum and several tombs open to the public. There is also a smaller hill town located about 5-7 minutes by car from the villa where you will find groceries, wonderful restaurants, several wine bars and charming cobblestone streets to wander through. The area is very convenient to get to, just 20 minutes from the A1 Autostrada, yet not a busy tourist destination. There is also a train station and several car rental agencies in Chiusi so you can arrive and depart by train if you prefer not to drive on the highway. The convenience of the train station makes it quite easy to make day trips to many destinations in both Tuscany and Umbria including both Rome and Florence - each accessible in a little over an hour by car or by train.

In addition, we would be delighted to assist you in your planning process and suggest doable day-trip itineraries and local places of interest. Please email us for more photos or additional information.

A slice of heaven in Tuscany

  • 5 of 5

We had a FANTASTIC time, weather, food and scenery (breath taking) were all great. The Villa was fantastic easily fitting the 8 family members that made the trip. The property manager and grounds keeper made our stay exceptionally nice, they were focused on our comfort and needs. The location is ideal, centrally located between Florence (Firenza) and Rome. This allowed us to visit many towns within an hours drive of the Villa, like Orvieto, Monatlpuciano, Chisui, Perguia and Lake Trasimeno. This was in addition to Firenza, Siena and Pisa. We spent quite a bit of time in Citti Della Pieve (quaint town) having dinners (all great restaurants) and gelato!!! We also took advantage of having a home cooked meal in our house by a phenomenal chef, vegetables fresh from her garden...

It was hot when we went and the pool was the center point of our daily activities, as we couldn't wait to get back to take a nice long dip in the pool to cool off.

Overall a great property in a wonderful part of Italy!! This was truly a dream vacation, I've couldn't have imagined anything better!!

Ciao...

Peaceful Hilltop Villa Perfect for Two Large Families

  • 5 of 5

This peaceful villa was the perfect getaway in Tuscany. The little town nearby, Citta del Pieve, was by far my favorite and the least touristy of all that we visited. The location of this villa allowed for several easy day trips to Rome, Florence, and famous wineries. We consisted of two families with young children, thus the layout of this house was absolutely perfect. It had 3 bedrooms 2 baths and a kitchen on each of the levels. Swimming in the large pool was a great way to end the day for the children. A couple of nights we hired a woman named Beatrice to come in and cook a large meal for us when we knew we were going to return late and tired from a day of sightseeing. The price was reasonable when compared to going out, and the food was delicious. It was wonderful to be able to relax on the porch, watch the sunset while the children played, and have Beatrice cook a fantastic meal. I highly recommend this beautiful villa to anyone.

Truly a home away from home.

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I just spent the month of June at this wonderful Villa. We were joined by 3 other couples who are close friends of ours. The set-up was perfect for four couples. Two couples on each floor. That gave us each a spare bedroom to use for more closet space or as in our case we had my husband's son and girlfriend come for a few days. The atmosphere is so relaxing and inviting. We are all runners and walkers and it was so nice to be able to get a good workout right from the villa. We loved running to the little town of Pieve, have a cappuccino, relax for a bit and then run back. It is about a 6 mile loop. The train station in Chiusi made it so convenient for day or overnite trips. We went to Florence for a night and to lake Como for a few nights. The location of the Villa is superb. We had 2 rental cars for the 4 couples and it worked out great because some people just wanted to hang and the pool some days and others wanted to do day trips. We were able to cover a lot of ground. So many great towns close by to explore.

The housekeeper Sophie was awesome. She was available for doing our laundry anytime and got it back to us the next day. She also was out every morning cleaning the pool. We loved having happy hour at the pool! I would also highly recommend having a chef come and cook for you. Linda can set that up. We did that for my birthday and they did a fabulous job.

Beautiful views, lovely pool, roomy villa

  • 4 of 5

We stayed for the month of June with three other couples in the villa. The exterior of the home is beautiful with amazing views and lots of space. It was so nice to return to the villa after a full day of sightseeing and relax by the beautiful pool. The villa was centrally located, close to Chiusi and the train station. We traveled by train to Florence, Venice and Lake Como and after each excursion, returned to the villa to relax and gear up for the next side trip. We hired a chef one night to cook for us and help us celebrate a birthday. She served wonderful appetizers by the pool and cooked a fabulous meal for us, including two homemade desserts. Sofia, who lives on the property, did a wonderful job cleaning the house and doing our laundry. It was a secure feeling knowing that she and her husband were nearby watching over the villa. The only drawback for us was that the kitchen needed a few more touches to make it easier to cook--sharp knives, basic spices. If you plan to cook, be prepared to bring or buy spices. The pictures on the site accurately reflect the villa's appearance inside. The owner communicated to us regularly and answered any questions we had before the trip. All and all we had a wonderful time with rich memories and beautiful pictures we can share with everyone at home.

Great location, amazing views and pure relaxation!

  • 5 of 5

What a beautiful estate and an amazing vacation. Did not realize that the house is actually two separate three bedroom, two bathroom each with its own kitchen and only accessible to each other by an outside staircase. Once we all settled in it worked out perfectly. We did all the cooking downstairs and took advantage of the large outdoor patio and eating area. The views are stunning and it was so nice to come home to peace and quiet after a full day of sights. There is no washer in the Villa, but Sophie took good care of us. She was wonderful and had our laundry returned the same day washed and pressed. Thank you all for your hospitality and making our vacation one to always treasure.

Chilling at the Villa in Tuscany

  • 5 of 5

We had 4 couples who arrived in Italy on May 31. We spent the first week travelling in No. Italy--Milan, Lake Como, Cinque Terre & Firenze. So we were ready for some rest & relaxation & the villa was the perfect place to do so. We arrived late Saturday and the owner had arranged for a chef to prepare a home cooked dinner for us! It was wonderful to sit out on the terrace, eat, drink wine & relax. The only sounds we heard were the birds in the trees. We took some day trips from the villa mostly to the little hill towns( we rented 2 cars in Florence & would highly recommend that for getting to the villa & touring around the area)-Citta della Pieve, Assisi and Montepulciano. One day we took the train from Chuisi to Rome for a guided tour of the Vatican & St. Peter's. But mainly we just relaxed, sat around the pool, etc. We were looking forward to doing some laundry at the villa but then we found out there was no washer or dryer. But sweet Sofia not only did our laundry, but folded it and sometimes even ironed it! One of the couples who had never travelled to Italy before said the villa more than met their expectations. A few suggestions: it would've been helpful to know ahead of time what items in the kitchen were available; ie: there was no salt, pepper, sugar etc. Also some instructions on how to use the dishwasher wouldv'e been helpful. Sofia did provide clean towels, paper towels & toilet paper. We never worried about going off & leaving our things at the house because she & her family lived right there on the property. Some of the things we enjoyed were eating in the local restaurants in Pieve, shopping there, and the men in our group also enjoyed a cooking class in our kitchen by the chef. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone we know who will be travelling in Italy.
