This condo lived up to the advertisement completely!! The location is super. You are close to shops, lots of good places to eat, the beach, etc. It was nice sitting on the dock and watching the activity in the bay. Having the park across the street was an added bonus! Even though the weather was cool, we enjoyed walking on the beach and the walking paths in the park. We also walked over to the beach cafe to have tea and coffee in the mornings. We liked eating at Leroy Selmons on Cortez and became big fans of Sweet Berries on Manatee. The custard there is delicious and the food is good. The condo was clean and we were surprised to get a call from the owner mid-week to confirm all was ok. The only complaint we had were the bed pillows. They were really thin. I think an investment in new ones is due. Potential renters need to know there is no elevator and there are several steps involved to get to the unit. The only thing we could have wished for was a lot warmer weather and a lot more sun. I guess January is an "iffy" month to visit Florida! We will be recommending this unit to our friends and hope to visit again next year.
We really loved or stay!! Walking distance to everything. Great views out back and out front!! Very easy to book easy instructions easy to leave!! Great stay
Perfect location Comfortable Convenient.
The beach which is just a few steps away is one of the most beautiful in the world. The bonus is the inland waterway on the other side for fish, bird and boat watching. Not to mention fishing. Pretty little private pool was fun to meet other guests. Sunrise and sunsets were spectacular The condo was spacious and was adequately equipped. Anna Maria is a little slice of paradise
This is a very nice rental in a great location.
This was my first time to visit Anna Maria Island and I was happy to find this particular condo. The location was wonderful with the Gulf of Mexico and public beach on one side and the bay on the other with no other buildings obstructing the view. We enjoyed the pool as well. There is a scenic walking path across from the condo that follows the beach leading to Long Boat pass. The unit was walking distance to many restaurants and shops as well such as the Anna Maria Oyster Bar at the end of the Bridge Street area. There is a trolley stop nearby which we utilized to get to the other end of the island. It was also conveniently located near a fishing charter we took off Cortez Road. The property is very clean and well appointed with a beach and fishing theme. I would recommend this property to others and hope to go back myself sometime!
Good location......The bay view is a "wow" .
First the not so perfect:
The Condo itself is what you would expect from a rental. Simple and somewhat dated. Exactly how I would keep it if I owned it though. Third bedroom is windowless with pocket doors and a sleeper sofa...Serves its purpose but a little odd.....Beach/Pier construction directly across the street. People have forged a path a little to the left through the dunes behind the picnic tables..Turned into an advantage though...Chain link fence on the beach blocks walk through people traffic from the right.
Now the fantastic:
Location....Walk to Bridge Street bars and restaurants......Half mile...Perfect. Cross two lane road to the beach...
The View....Bay view is hard to describe...Hits you right when you walk in..Dolphin sightings almost every day....I actually prefer it over an ocean view...Boats going by....wildlife......Amazing. Ocean view from bedroom #2 is limited but it's there!
The Dock...great to hang out on or fish from.
The Condo...spacious..Really liked the common area/kitchen layout.....Spiral stair case off of huge main balcony on bay side is really cool. Takes you down to ground level for easy access to pool and dock. My wife and kids all commented on how quiet it is on the bay side. Really relaxing...Traffic was typically terrible the week we were there after Christmas.....Street noise not bad despite traffic.
The owner even called to check on our stay after the fact...
Summary..Tenth straight year I have stayed in the area. Usually on Longboat Key. I wish I owned this place though.... Highly recommend! Give it a 10 out of 10 all considered.
Nice property - great locaction
We had a great time. Loved the location - away from all the busyness of AMI. I'd highly recommend it for anyone looking for a place close to the beach with great views of the water.
