Our lovely and spacious gulf front townhome is located on Scenic Highway 30-A in an area called the Beaches of South Walton, on the Florida Panhandle - midway between Destin and Panama City Beach, close to Rosemary Beach, Alys Beach, Seagrove and Seaside. Seacrest is a unique and quiet area, with beautiful scenery, great restaurants and no high-rise buildings or commercial clamor, yet only a short drive away from the shopping and tourist activities in Destin and Panama City Beach.
One of only eight units in Seacrest Townhomes, we offer direct access to the sugar white sands of the beach from our covered patio: the private dunewalk is right outside the door. The views from the patio and the master bedroom balcony are spectacular. Our unit is decorated beautifully, with comfort in mind. The first level includes the kitchen, half-bath, dining and living area and the patio.
The second floor contains the master bedroom with queen bed and futon for extra sleeping, plus a full bath and a balcony overlooking the beach. The guest bedroom with private bath is also located on the second floor. The spacious loft area is a real bonus... it offers a wonderful private sleeping area for the kids, with a full-size bed and two twin beds, its own bathroom and dressing area, and porthole windows looking out over the gulf.

We vacationed in this area for several years and this is one of two properties that we own here.
This unit was somewhat a disappointment for our family vacation.
Although the setting was great, there were definitely some things about the unit that could be improved. When we arrived, ALL of the toilet paper holders were broken and most of the bathroom towel racks were missing. The carpets were all very soiled and worn and the furnishings were just plain shabby and worn. The half-bath toilet still "bucked like a wild horse" as the other reviewer stated and was leaking badly by the time we left.
On the positive side, everything was functional, but it took nearly all week to get the problems resolved - mainly just to get the attention of the property manager. The kitchen was well-equipped and the appliances all worked fine.
The view is great and the beach is wonderful - the best we have ever seen in Florida.
The description does not mention that there are 4 long sections of stairs down to the beach (and coming back up), so for persons with mobility issues, it would be a huge problem to get to the beach.
The bathroom fixtures reminded me of a run-down 2-star motel - corroded and missing pieces.
The rating is 2 stars only because of the great location.
I don't think that we will be back to this unit.
This townhouse could not be in a better location! We loved the easy beach access, the amazing view and the spaciousness of the living areas.
If you're looking for a luxurious place to stay this is not it, but for a family on a budget this worked fine. The carpets are very worn and dingy, the kitchen was only equipped with necessities and the toilet in the half bath bucks like a wild horse when being used. The house definitely could have been cleaner, mostly regarding the floors, but it wasn't unsanitary.
All that said, we would probably rent this place again. The price was right and the location was perfect!
