Perfect Escape For Max Fun on Long Weekend!

  • 5 of 5

Cecil's lovely home provided a great spot for a long weekend get-away in the "off-season." The immaculate home is welcoming, warm and cozy despite the chill in the air outside. Cecil did check in to make sure all was well when we arrived. Sadly, it was too chilly for the outdoor shower, but with down comforters in the bedrooms and a working fireplace in the living room, it couldn't have been more perfect! We bundled up and enjoyed walks on the local beaches and a night out for martinis and tapas at Embargo. We also took a meandering tour of the Cape and drove up to P-town for lunch overlooking the ocean. The location and home combined for a heavenly, much needed escape from the rat race, in the middle of winter. If you're looking for an off season relaxing weekend escape, I'd highly recommend Cecil's place. If it isn't booked up, think I found the right spot for our summer vacation this year!

Another Enjoyable Stay!

  • 5 of 5

This was our 6th family vacation stay at Cecil's house. The home was always well stocked, clean, and comfortably furnished. The owner is always available and responsive to questions or comments. Its central Cape Cod location makes it a perfect starting place for travel to any destination on the Cape. My family and I enjoy it so much, we've already booked our 2017 vacation there!

Very enjoyable vacation week!

  • 4 of 5

Our family of 7 thoroughly enjoyed our week at Cecil's house! The location is perfect with the very nice private beach a short walk away and everything else so close as well. We walked to and/or rode our bikes to MANY of the things we wanted to do, including: Main St. Hyannis which has tons of shopping and restaurants, the ferry to Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard, the Kennedy compound, and other non-private beaches. We definitely recommend Cecil's vacation home.

Excellent experience

  • 5 of 5

Nice clean, well-stocked house with an excellent private beach.

At the beach, be sure to visit the breakwater on the right. Walk out in the center during low tide and then hold very still for 2+ minutes. You'll see tens of crabs venture out of their holes to scurry around, forage, and posture at one another! Best part of our vacation!

Found my Happy Place!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful week on the Cape! Cecil's home was very comfortable, had everything we needed to enjoy a full week on Cape Cod. Cecil checked in on us shortly after we arrived to make sure everything was ok. We had no issues during our stay. We never used the grill, but the house has such a great setup, if we return during the Summer, I am sure we would take full advantage of the Beach & the Grill! It was a great location, Hyannis is a great town, lots to do nearby. During our visit, we drove to P-town (an easy 1 hr drive) and also drove south to Falmouth, so being Mid-Cape was the perfect location for us. The private beach is a short walk away and is very nice. Weather was a bit cool, so we didn't get to spend much time hanging at the beach, but it was lovely. We learned a couple things for those of you who want to travel to Nantucket or Martha's Vineyard. While the Hyannis Harbor is just minutes away, we saved $180 to drive to Falmouth to catch the Ferry to Martha's Vineyard (only $20 each vs. $60 each). We used the Hy-line out of Hyannis to Nantucket which cost way more than the Steamship Authority, which their round-trip tickets were $17 each. But being our first time to the Cape, we learned as we went. Would recommend the Dolphin Fleet in Provincetown for Whale Watching - we saw many whales on our tour, but they are never guaranteed, so we were very happy. I can't wait to make it back! Loved every minute of our trip - thanks Cecil for sharing your cozy home with us for our stay... :-)

Lovely Home!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay was short but oh-so-sweet. We loved the cozy home Cecil and his family provided for our time in Hyannis. The private beach was amazing and so beautiful! The ferry to Nantucket was super convenient and easy for our day trip out. The house had everything we would need, and our three girls loved being able to stay together in the same room. As for customer service, any question I had for Cecil was quickly answered before and during our stay. I would highly recommend staying there, and we hope to be back in the future, perhaps for a longer stay! Wonderful home!
