About Aurore

I've been coming for holidays in Dordogne ever since I was born, since my family has been living in Beynac for more then a century.

I love this region and would like all our guests to enjoy it as much as I do.

Aurore purchased this house in 2010

Fantastic house, a relaxing place with wonderful views

  • 5 of 5

This house exceeded our expectations! A holiday here gave us a place to relax, away from the crowds within easy reach of the beautiful Dordogne river for canoeing and cycling. We explored many places for sight seeing within a short distance by car.

Our children aged 17 and 9 loved the pool, we had a very hot week so we needed it to cool off! We would spend evenings outside having dinner, watching the hot air balloons take off, listening to the crickets and gazing at the stars well into the evening. We had the perfect holiday with lovely memories.

We have already recommended this property to friends!

A lovely house in a beautiful setting

  • 5 of 5

The children loved the donkeys and the goats. We had fun playing tennis and basketball on the excellent tennis court. Plenty to do nearby- caves, castles and gardens. A lovely swimming pool to relax by and gorgeous views from the house.

A refaire !

  • 5 of 5

Le Périgord Noir est une très belle région, doublée d'un temps magnifique et d'une maison très agréable. C'est un endroit très calme avec une vue panoramique reposante, idéal pour se déconnecter !

Je recommande vivement cette location.

Calme et l'authenticité

  • 4 of 5

Beautiful location

  • 5 of 5

Fabulously located , short walk to Beynac. We swam in the river every day and canoed. The area is littered with castles and wonderful places to visit.

The house is comfortable and well equipt . Our only issue was that the pool was a little too small for our large family.

Excellent communication - would definitely recommend.

Perfect choice for touring or relaxing

  • 5 of 5

My husband, son and two grandchildren, ages 10 and 14, enjoyed Linol House for a week, but wished it had been longer. The house is precisely as presented in the photos: Picturesque and rustic, but very clean and comfortable and thoroughly up to date--though satellite wifi is limited. There is plenty of space for loungers, readers, baskers, and nappers. It perches high on the western side of the hill below Beynac Castle with a broad view across fields and forests and the Dordogne Valley. The weather was in the 100s, which was rare and unwelcome, but the hillside location meant constant breezes, and the ancient stone walls retained night time cool. Our approach was to shutter the house while we visited Sarlat, Domme, Les Ezies de Tayac, Beynac and Castelnaud castles, and farmers markets during the late morning and afternoon and immerse ourselves gratefully in the pool later and into the evening until dinner on the lovely terrace, when we opened up the house. The donkeys are very cute and entertaining, though the first heehaw is a riveting experience. The roads to the farms and the hamlet of Cazenac are lightly traveled and fine for walking or biking.

The Linol House is located in the countryside just one kilometre away from the famous town of Beynac-and-Cazenac. It's a great location to enjoy the many attractions of the 'Perigord Noir' region. Surrounded by middle-age castles, century gardens, traditional cities and villages, you will have plenty of sightseeing activities to discover what makes this French region so typical and attractive.

For sport lovers, or just family activities, you will enjoy paddling down the river Dordogne, climbing the cliffs or exploring caves, fighting emotions when tree-climbing, or simply hiking in the forests and villages... For a special treat, you can even embark in a hot-air-balloon trip above the castles and villages.

From Monday to Sunday in the high season, surrounding villages one after the other host traditional markets where you can find the best products. The Saint-Cyprien market takes place all year long on Sundays and will be a great way to start you week with us.
