Perfect location, perfect home away from home!
From the moment we arrived and were personally greeted by the owner, my family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids) knew we had found our home away from home. The townhouse is incredibly comfortable and well-appointed. The beds, towels and linens were so luxurious. The whole house was well stocked with everything you could need. The location was perfect - a quiet, safe neighborhood with easy access to stores, restuarants, the underground, etc and it even proved to be walking distance from places as far away as Piccadilli or Trafalgar on a nice day. We felt like we got significant value for the price - having the additional space and amenities that a hotel could not provide was worth every penny. I will certainly recommend this to all of my friends who are visiting London and we'll likely be back for another stay ourselves!
Home away from home
This property was exactly as posted. It was beautifully maintained and very charming. Anything you could have needed in the house was there. The best compliment I can give it is it really felt like home while we were there!
The location was perfect. It was within walking distance of many things including food stores and places to eat. It was also a very short walk to the tube, buses and trains. The neighborhood was so quaint and safe. Sarah is a wonderful host making sure we had everything we needed. This was an amazing home away from home. I would highly recommend it to all London visitors!
Great, well equipped property in an ideal location. The house is situated in a quiet residential street but within easy walking distance to bars and restaurants and 5 minutes from the tube. We were very grateful to be able to access the property early and make the most of our overnight stay.
Enjoyed 3 nights here in this very well equipped house. Appreciated all the extras. Thanks, Sarah
Loved staying here. Great location, very clean apartment, would definitely stay here again.
We had a magical stay in London! Sarah was an excellent host, very prompt in communicating. The location was perfect for my family (4 adults and 3 children). Very easy to get around to the sights but in a quiet location. Lots of room for all of us and plenty of amenities! I can’t wait to go back to London and stay here.
A unique house in the Conservation area of Pimlico, close to Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace and the West End. The Tate Britain and the Thames are both five minutes walk away.
Although most of the house is 150 years old, it has been sympathetically refurbished to combine modern appliances with original features. At the heart of the house is a handmade kitchen with exposed brick fireplace, corniced ceilings and modern appliances, including a dishwasher. The kitchen is equipped with seating for six.
There is a luxurious double reception room with Philippe Stark furnishings and Bang & Olufsen appliances, including a TV and CD player. For those wishing to entertain, porcelain, silver cutlery and Irish and Venetian crystal are provided. Access to caterers, cleaners and dry clean collection/drop-off can be arranged.
Sleeping accommodation comprises two smart double bedrooms each with access to a charming patio terrace, and a bathroom and shower room respectively. The rear terrace has extensive seating and a working water fountain. In addition, there is a top floor studio with a luxurious sofa bed, an ensuite shower room and an outside balcony with seating. The studio space is equipped with TV, extensive DVD collection and a Wii console.
There is both a cafe and a famous delicatessen within metres of the house. On the adjacent street, there is a full range of amenities, small but well stocked supermarket, dry cleaners, laundrette, Indian restaurant, friendly pub and colourful Tapas bar. There is a fantastic variety of shops, bars and restaurants near Victoria Station. Across the River Thames is Battersea Park, ideal for running, walking and tennis. Tennis raquets and balls are provided. Guest membership of a nearby gym can be arranged for £5 per day.
Victoria train, coach and bus stations are all within ten minutes' walk and Pimlico tube station is on the adjacent street. There is a row of 'Boris' bikes available for hire metres from the house.
The house is exceptionally quiet, yet moments away from the sights and sounds of Central London and all the city has to offer.
