Great Place for a Relaxing Weekend Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We spent a beautiful and relaxing weekend at Mike’s family cottage. It was great to find a nice place to rent that allowed us to bring our dog, but didn’t look like a typical animal friendly rental. The home was very clean, comfortable, and cozy, We had a minor problem with the plumbing in one of the bathrooms due to the cold weather, but Mike was quick to respond and gave instructions on how to remedy the issue. The location and and proximity to the town and access to the beach were very convenient. We really loved spending time outside on the beautiful porch and patio even in the chilly weather. We hope to visit again in the future!

This is our 1st time renting here and it is such a cute house. The outdoor area is absolutely amazing. Loved having my coffee out in the rocking chairs on the porch. Very quiet and peaceful.

Perfect Vacation Home

  • 5 of 5

This is a fantastic property. It's clean and cozy. The location is perfect, a quick drive to Bolton Landing for some shopping or dinning and also a quick drive to hiking and the beach. It's also not far from Lake George where you can experience more shopping, dinning, beach activities and entertainment. Booking this property was easy and to the point. I had no trouble communicating with the owner at any point and he answered questions I didn't know I had. The directions he gave were precise and we had no problem finding the property. Overall, this property gave us a relaxing, laid back vacation in the perfect setting!

Very nice farmhouse 1/2 mile from lake

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at this pet friendly house near Bolton Landing. Big yard , big porch with ADK chairs & swing. New large patio with fire pit & charcoal grill.

Were able to use the canoe provided.

Only negative was the view of the lake was obscured by trees and brush in neighboring yard. (Cut them down!)

Would rent again

Great stay! Will return.

  • 5 of 5

The house was very warm and cozy and was great for my 3 young children. There was plenty of room. We didn't even use one of the bedrooms. My dog and kids enjoyed the large backyard. I also particularly enjoyed the view. I would wake up early to see the sunrise and our family enjoyed playing board games while watching the sun set. The house was very clean! Thank you, Mike, for sharing your home with us. We will definitely return.

About Mike Belanger

Welcome, and thanks for considering staying in our vacation home. We live 1 hour south. Since a small child, we always enjoyed a day or week at Lake George. The clean water of the lake will amaze you, as it has to us. You will find that Bolton Landing is the best spot on the whole lake.

Mike Belanger purchased this farmhouse in 2004

Why Mike Belanger chose Bolton Landing

Our family fell in love with the wrap around porch and the eastern view of the lake and mountains. We put a lot of sweat into renovating the house. This is our second home. Please enjoy and respect it.

What makes this farmhouse unique

We made sure this house has everything you need to enjoy your time here. If the sun is shining, enjoy the horse shoes or a volleyball game. If raining, we have High def cable tv, books and board games. We also have pin pong in the garage.

Lake George! Known as one of the premier vacation spots in the northeast, Lake George has delighted generations of visitors who came to enjoy the mountains and the sparkling waters of the lake. Today's visitors come to Lake George for much the same reasons, but today have a myriad of choices on how to spend their vacations at the lake. Lake George is located in the Adirondack Mountains of NY, the lake is 32 miles long and dotted with about 175 islands, most of which are owned by New York State. This allows the visitor excellent Lake George island camping and picnicking opportunities.

Golf: Sagamore Golf Course, a great 18 hole is about 4 miles away.

From their website:

Honored by Golf Magazine as one of its Silver Medal Resorts, this beautiful hillside course overlooks Lake George and was designed and built under Donald Ross's personal supervision in 1928. As part of a $75 million restoration in 1985, the legendary course was fully restored according to Ross's original blueprints.

In classic Ross fashion, The Sagamore's golf course uses the natural environment to give each hole its challenge and beauty. The holes are routed naturally through an upland meadow and the Adirondack woods, where white birches enliven the evergreen forest. To add an accent to the rolling mountainside terrain, Ross planted heather from his own native Scotland within the meadow. Lush fairways are narrow and lined with hardwoods, while deep bunkers surround undulating greens. From the elevated first tee, you have a breathtaking view of Lake George and the Adirondack peaks.

Golf Digest rated this course as the '5th Best Public Course in New York State.' In addition, Corporate and Incentive Travel gave it a 'Greens of Distinction' award and Condé Nast named it a top U.S. resort course.
