Charming, waterfront 1890s summer cottage in the heart of Saunderstown Village. Four bedrooms (3 small), kitchen, dining room/living room with wood stove, screen porch and deck, 1 1/2 baths (tiled shower), washer and dryer and dishwasher. Lots of warmth. Perfect for family with children. Gorgeous views of Narragansett Bay, Dutch Island and Newport Bridge. 5-6 miles from Narragansett Beaches, Historic Wickford Village, URI and Newport (over two bridges). Just over a mile on back roads to upscale market, fish market and Brooks Drug Store. Saunderstown Village is a small waterfront, mostly year round community of older homes with few summer rentals. It includes a small public library (recently completely renovated) and a post office. Homeowner lives across the street.
Formerly known as a summer community, Saunderstown consists of about 100 older homes near the water in a 'dead end' setting. It is 15 minutes from historic Newport , Narragansett and Wickford.
