|Minimum Stay||2 nights|
The cabin was custom built in 1994 from 150 year old hand notched Cypress logs (it was not made from a kit) and has kitchen cabinets with old-fashioned tin punch panels like those in a pie safe. It sleeps 8 - it has three bedrooms (one with a queen, one with twin beds and a loft with a brass double bed), a queen sleeper sofa, and two full bathrooms. Don't let the country decor fool you. Every amenity is provided, including linens, dishes, TV/VCR/DVD, a fully equipped kitchen and dining room, washer and dryer, central heat and air and a warm fireplace. Serenity is on the back screened-in porch for you while you're sitting in your rocker or swing taking in the fantastic view. For dining out, there is a plethora of restaurants ranging from fine dining to down-home country cookin'.

When I first stepped into the cabin my first thought was I was in a fairy tale. It reminded me of an enchanted cabin. The decor was fantastic. We felt so welcome staying in someone else's home. We just came from another cabin in Tenn and we liked this one so much better. We only wished we had more time to visit. The back porch had a fanstatic view of the mountains. At night,we played backgammon and drank hot chocolate on the back porch. The peace and quiet was exactly what we needed.The night sky was lit up with stars that I don't usually see where I live. Everything from the sparkling fireplace to the nice and cozy bed we loved it all. We plan on coming back for another visit when time allowed. I already have 2 other friends who are interested in staying in that cabin. We felt so lucky to have this wonderful holiday experiance. The owners were friendly and helpful.
We absolutely loved our stay in this cabin. It really is on the top of a mountain with views all around. All the personal touches throughout this cabin make it very unique. The owners were great hosts and provided exceptional customer service. The area has so much to do, there is no way to do it all. The restaurants were great too. We can't wait to come back!
We stayed in this cabin for a long holiday weekend Birthday excursion for my husband. Our main reason for traveling there was to play FootGolf at Old Union Golf Course, and this ended up being in the perfect location. We even took the dog and she loved it! The best way I can describe is you can feel the warmth and thoughtfulness of the owners that went into crafting the home, so it truly feels as though it's your own. The first night we got there it was stormy and it was still very lovely. We enjoyed beautiful weather the following day and walked the dog up and down the hill. We spent just as much time indoors studying all of the clever decor and were amazing by the handmade lock systems on the bathroom doors! All of the modern day appliances are in there, and there is still a sense of privacy, so it's very peaceful and relaxing. Also, a lot of the local restaurants are closed on Sundays, so it's nice to be able to grab some groceries and just cook at the cabin. The front and back porches are the perfect place to start and end the day, and I know our dog would agree. I highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a pleasant mountain getaway experience. Don't be alarmed by process for getting the key (I sent my check to the owner via mail and then they mailed me key promptly). It's a little "old school" but I appreciate that in this day and age. We are definitely looking forward to going back and staying soon!
