Parwin & David purchased Blue Rock in 2012. Parwin is a school teacher and was born in the Punjab and David is a Chartered Surveyor and was born down the Road in St Columb Major.

Why David & Parwin Summers chose St Ives
David's dream has always been to own a property close to a great surfing beach and with spectacular sea views. Parwin, on the other hand, is a self-confessed chatter box who enjoys the arts and likes having lots of people around her. They started searching for a holiday home in June 2012 but got off to a slow start as they were both looking for different properties. Fortunately, their search came to an abrupt end when they found a house that ticked all of their boxes. Blue Rock is within easy walking distance of the centre of St Ives, overlooks Porthminster beach, the sea and the harbour. It is also close to Porthmeor beach (one of David's favourite surfing beaches) and has great car parking. What more could anyone ask for?
What makes this House unique
This lovely detached holiday home is superbly located 4 minutes walk from the centre of St Ives and 5 minutes walk from the Blue Flag Porthminster Beach, and has stunning views of the harbour and the sea. With stylish interiors, this reverse level architect designed holiday accommodation combines the charm of the seaside with 21st-century convenience. Perfect for families or groups of friends. It has 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, car parking for up to 3 cars and a Mediterranean style garden. St Ives was awarded ‘Best UK Seaside Town’ in both 2010 and 2011. With cobbled streets and artists’ studios, it is a great place to chill out in pavement cafes or gourmet restaurants. The Tate gallery is also worth a visit.

Blue Rock is an amazing holiday home!
This was our third visit to Blue Rock! We absolutely love St Ives and this holiday home is a true Gem!!! The views are stunning, the accommodation is always immaculately presented, well equipped, the quality is exceptional and no matter what the weather....it is the perfect place to stay. Great location to explore the beautiful beaches in the area and a down hill walk into St Ives takes only a few minutes (maybe a little longer on the way back!!) Can highly recommend it....you will not be disappointed. (Great communication with the owners too - and they allowed our dog to stay too!!)
You couldn’t want for more from a property. Amazing views and only a short walk down into St Ives.
The house is beautifully furnished and all the appliances you could want.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Blue Rock to anybody.

Your home is the perfect place to unwind and yet only a short walk into the lovely and lively buzz of St Ives
For the adults we loved the views, the very special accommodation and exploring the beautiful area both near and further afield for days out in the car
Our teens too were so happy to be in walking distance of gorgeous sandy beaches, cafes & restaurants and engaged in activities of mountain biking, surfing and the most awesome 2 hour horse riding trek from countryside to beach finishing with the most stunning St Michael's Mount in the background
We would love to return to enjoy a perfect blend of relaxation and more exploration of such a special part of Cornwall and the precious gem of Blue Rock !

Not great weather but the property is a short walk into St Ives with plenty of shops restaurants and cafe's.
The property itself is great for families and is of a very high standard throughout. Would return without hesitation !
Lovely house in marvellous position.
Blue Rock is a beautiful house in a superb position with spectacular views over the bay towards Hale and St Ives harbour. The car parking facility is an added bonus and its an easy 10 minute stroll into St Ives centre. The house was clean, tidy and warm, we'll be back asap.
We had an excellent stay in this property. The house is simply stunning, probably one of the best in St Ives in our opinion.

It is very well equipped and we found everything we needed.
Parwin and David are perfect hosts. Parwin emailed and phoned us to provide all the information we needed before we arrived and Paul the caretaker was there to meet us on arrival.
We had a truly relaxing time and will definitely return.

St Ives was awarded ‘Best UK Seaside Town’ in both 2010 and 2011 and is a real Cornish gem. With cobbled streets and artists’ studios, it is a great place to chill out in pavement cafes or gourmet restaurants. The Tate gallery is also well worth a visit. This delightful seaside town, with its unique art scene and award winning beaches, is the perfect place to explore, have fun and relax. How To Find Us: From the M5, take the exit onto the A30 towards Bodmin and Okehampton. Now go through 3 roundabouts, which will take about 1 hour 42 minutes. At the next roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Nut Lane (A3074) and continue through 3 roundabouts, this will take approximately 8 minutes. Now turn left onto Albert Road and take the 1st left onto Porthminster Terrace. From there, take the 1st left onto Talland Road and Blue Rock is the white architect designed property on the left hand side.

To make your booking reservation you will be required to pay an initial payment of 30% of the total booking fee. The remaining 70% will need to paid not less than 6 weeks prior to your arrival. We also require a security deposit of £300 to be received not less than 6 weeks prior to your arrival date. Booking fees for any booking made less than 6 weeks prior to the arrival date must be paid in full
