About Roberta

I was born in Rome and I've always lived here. My parents, my husband and my son were born and live in Rome. We all love this wonderful city and we are proud to be Romans. My husband and I often go around the city as a tourist in search of new emotions, and Rome never disappoints!

Roberta purchased this apartment in 2013

Why Roberta chose Rome

We have always wanted to own a house in the center of Rome and when we had the opportunity to do it we enthusiastically bought this mini apartment in the Prati district, an area that we know very well since high school. Renting it to tourists in love with Rome is a new job and an amazing opportunity to share with others the passion for our city.

What makes this apartment unique

The apartment is small (30 square meters), but delightful: it is on the ground floor of a building from early 1900's, bright and quiet, has three beautiful arches that support the ancient ceiling we have partially unveiled and the floor has the original tiles, red and gray. We have just (2013) completely renovated it in white and azure with the help of an architect and equipped with all the modern conveniences.

The Perfect Studio

  • 5 of 5

Our family of three enjoyed this perfect room and the hospitality of Roberta and her son (who we arranged to pick us up from the airport). The room is nicely equipped with anything needed to prepare a meal and, upon arrival, Roberta had left us some drinks and fruit. The room has plenty of guidebooks to learn more about the city and DVDs to keep you entertained. If you speak English, the TV stations are limited as are the DVDs, but the room is so perfectly situated, you would much rather have a gelato down the street than sit inside anyway, right? There are plenty of places to grab a t-shirt or other souvenirs nearby, but the area is not touristy. As you exit the apartment around the corner to the right, there is a lovely cafe with delicious cappuccinos and pastries too. There is a Carrefour grocery about a block or so away and we got wine, cheese, bread and olives to enjoy at the bistro table in the room each afternoon. If it is your thing, there is a McDonalds across the street. The metro station is at the end of the block too! Everything in the apartment is new and nicely decorated. The WIFI was generally reliable, as was the hot water, and air-conditioning. Roberta was so kind to check in via email and ask if we needed anything frequently. I would definitely return tomorrow if I could. It was wonderful!

Great apartment. Great location.

  • 5 of 5

We actually stayed in June 2015. When compared to the other (similarly priced) places in Rome, this is by far the most attractive and spacious Its a perfect combination of price, location and studio decor. It was our highlight of the trip to Rome b/c staying in this place makes it easy to imagine oneself living in Rome permanently.

Our stay was incredible at this amazing apartment! It was incredibly clean, great AC, kitchen was stocked with some goodies on arrival. Roberta was an excellent communicator and met us at the apartment when we checked in to help get us settled. She had left fresh fruit in the bowl and some snacks for us. Roberta went above and beyond to make our stay perfect! Would certainly book with her again in the future! Thanks for the awesome stay!!

Idyllic Apartment for a Perfect Roman Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Every step, from the moment we booked the apartment to the moment we got back on the plane to the United States, was perfect. Not only was the family incredibly friendly, accommodating, and helpful, but the apartment itself was an ideal spot for a Roman vacation. We would recommend over and over again for anyone to stay at this apartment, and will absolutely book it again next time we are in Rome.

We stayed here for 2 nights and it was absolutely perfect for me, my husband and 5 year old son. My son had his own little twin sized bed, which was great! The apartment is decorated so cute and it is very clean. Roberta and her husband were very helpful getting us settled and were very welcoming. The location is great! Almost right next to the Vatican and within walking distance to most anything. The metro is on the same street, perfect transportation to the Colosseum and Roman Forum (the only places I wouldn't recommend walking to). There is a garage very close if you have a vehicle and it was under 20 euro a day. If I had to say anything negative, which I have to really dig for, it would be that wifi goes in and out and is not very strong. Also, the street is very busy, a little rougher than the other place we stayed, but still not bad at all. It's just a busy street with a lot of people. Oh, and gelato is right next door!

A must stay in Rome!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here for two nights at the beginning of our trip around Italy! We met Nick on the street in front of the apartment at a pre arranged time and he showed us around, how everything worked, and told us about the area. The apartment is incredible in every way! Comfortable bed, wifi, small kitchen and bathroom were all stocked with things we may need and everything was clean and beautifully decorated! It is within walking distance to the Vatican and museums and the metro station stop is just down the street. We chose to walk to most of our destinations to see all of the city, so walking to the Colossuem from here is not out of the question! We had the most wonderful stay here and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in Rome!!
