50 acres with a quaint 3 bedroom 2 bath cottage with beautiful mountain views
About Doris Adcock
My husband and I were born and raised in the Plant City/Brandon area in Florida and currently reside in Clermont, Florida. We love everything about the mountains and the lovely folks that call Creston home.
Doris Adcock purchased this Farmhouse in 2007
Why Doris Adcock chose Creston
We vacationed in this area in 2006 and fell in love with this beautiful rural area in the mountains. You could not ask for a friendlier community in a laid back environment. The cares of this world melt away at our cottage.
What makes this Farmhouse unique
The front porch is just the best for relaxing with a book and a hot cup of tea or coffee which can often lead to a nap. We also never run out of adventures. There is so much to do and we are centrally located to TN and VA.

Nice place, quite location.
We enjoyed our week here. So quiet and peaceful. Lots of room for the two of us. Hope to come back someday.
Thank you so much Susan we would love to have you return.
Cozy and beautiful.
Beautiful property well maintained, tastefully decorated with all necessary comforts for a relaxing stay. Owners are very responsive. Love this house and hope to return soon!
Pictures don't do it justice - it was perfect!!!
My friend and I took our daughters, ages 12 and 13 here for the weekend to ride the Virginia Creeper Trail. The drive in from Charlotte was beautiful and when we turned up the driveway and saw The Hideaway for the first time, we were all so excited!!! It is tucked on the side of a mountain with a small stream on the side, which made for soothing sounds as we sat on the porch. They have an amazing flat area of lawn perfect for the picnic table and fire pit. The cottage has everything you could need and is decorated with such charm and detail. This is one of the most unique VRBO's I have stayed at and we had so much fun exploring inside and out. In the listing pictures the kitchen looks a little dark but we were so pleasantly surprised when we walked in! Clean and plenty of counter space with very nice appliances. Every corner we turned inside led to fun surprises: swing & rocking chairs on the front porch, barn doors and a gorgeous chandelier in one of the bathrooms, an essential oil diffuser with oils provided, fun little staircase leading to a surprisingly large upstairs, and our favorite part - the two-story great-room!!! WOW!!! The property was fun to explore as well - we hiked to the top and were rewarded with a great view (very steep but worth it!) In all, this was a wonderful cottage for our mother-daughter weekend. Every detail was thought of and communication with Doris was excellent. Thank you for sharing The Hideaway with us!
Hi Amanda! Thank you so much for your wonderful comments! Lovely to hear you all had a great time and you’re certainly welcome to stay again :)
We had a great stay.
Out in the country, one car maybe every 2 hours, but only 15 to the grocery store.
AC units worked awesome, maybe needed one more fan to blow air into rooms that had no AC.
Driveway and parking is a bit tricky for larger vehicles, I have an F350 with long bed.
Internet was awesome and all TVs were set up to stream movies.
No cellphone coverage for AT&T, but we just turned on WiFi calling.
All the beds were great, and the Great Room was amazing. Front porch got the most use, it’s so peaceful.
Property owner was great and very responsive.
My only complaint is that I wish we could have stayed longer.
Thank you! You all are welcome to come back anytime 😊
