Chez Wilson is one of the few heritage homes on Nevis, lovingly updated to modern standards by its current international owners. Nestled within two tropical acres replete with mature palms, lush plantings and fruit trees, and built around a secluded atrium, this spacious residence offers peace and serenity but is still within easy distance of both golden Pinney’s beach and the amenities of the Four Seasons resort.
At the front of the villa is a large deck which wraps around a 66 ft long infinity pool with views across the Caribbean to St Kitts. This is the perfect spot for admiring emerald hummingbirds and banana quits with your morning coffee or taking in the sunset with something stronger as evening approaches.
The well-furnished veranda has retractable awnings, making it ideal for dining, and inside there is a tropical central atrium – the coolest place to be in the late afternoon as you listen to water bubbling in the old copper sugar-pot fountain discretely hidden in the bushes.
The overall accommodation comprises a master bedroom with en suite, enclosed balcony and sun deck on the upper floor, plus three other bedrooms, all with en suite bath on the first floor together with a large living room, dining room for eight and a fully-equipped kitchen.
“If there is an island that speaks of old-time Caribbean graciousness, it is Nevis, partly for its gentle nature, and partly for its traditional elegance with lovely wooden villas in gingerbread and planation style - all wood, open windows and verandas, the best in tropical indoor/outdoor living.” The UK Daily Telegraph, Luxury Travel feature, 1st February 2014.
This is what we want you to experience at Chez Wilson.
The owners are an international couple who have moved around the world and are now resident in Switzerland. They have owned Chez Wilson for the past 18 years.
We love Nevis because it's like a throw back to the way the Caribbean was 20 years ago. The island is small and peaceful (there are no traffic lights!) but with plenty to do - hiking, cycling, sailing, 5-star golf and tennis (at the Four Seasons, which also has a wonderful spa which is open to non-residents) - plus great beaches and romantic plantation house restaurants.
Awesome 66 ft infinity pool facing out towards the sea.
The total privacy of the upstairs area, separate his and hers study areas and very large bathroom.
Sun deck off the upstairs master bedroom.
The tropical atrium courtyard, perfect for a cool afternoon snooze.
Lush landscaped 2-acre garden.
And an easy distance from Pinney's Beach and the 5-star Four Seasons Resort
This very extensive and lovely property is in a wonderful location with superb views across the sea to St.Kitts. It provides substantial accommodation, the gardens and swimming pool were in a most attractive setting and provided a relaxing and pleasant place to enjoy.
Chez Wilson seems to have plenty of staff, whether permanent or temporary, to call on when required.
We feel sure that anyone renting this Villa would not be disappointed.
Chez Wilson lives up to its reviews and ratings. I looked for a beautiful island retreat to celebrate my 50th birthday with a few friends and family. I narrowed down the search to lovely Nevis and Chez Wilson stoog out from the crowd. The gardens were awe inspiring and the pool was our central retreat for the entire weekend. To make it even more relaxing were the well appointed bedrooms and kitchen. Nothing was wanted, and that made the relaxation and fun so much more incredible. Amelia Chiverton was an amazing hostess and ensured we felt right at home from the moment we met her. I am definitely returning to Chez Wilson for another get away soon. Greg
It was a girlfriend's getaway and it couldn't have been better. The home was huge with a bathroom in every bedroom - perfect for 4 women! We lived in the kitchen, outdoor dining area, and pool. That gorgeous pool was the best I've ever seen and we used it three times a day, hanging on the infinity edge to take in the view! The master suite, which I was lucky enough to nab, was wonderful, beautiful, huge, and relaxing. I enjoying viewing the monkeys from the bathroom and the private porch provided an awesome view of the Caribbean and St. Kitts. We enjoyed several frogs, monkeys, goats (tails up) and sheep (tails down), and countless birds and geckos. It was such a great place and very well maintained and managed. To aid in the entire experience, was Oliver who patiently answered my countless questions and provided outstanding recommendations. I highly recommend Chez Wilson for your home away from home.
We recently stayed in beautiful Nevis to attend a family member's wedding at the Four Seasons Resort. With eight of us total, we decided to try out Chez Wilson instead of the resort in an attempt to have more of a "family" experience. Needless to say, we were not disappointed! The property is simply magnificent and met all our needs. The 2-acre estate is lush and tropical and if you get up early enough you can watch the monkeys play around on the property. Probably the best part of the property is the beautiful infinity-edge pool with a stunning view of the Caribbean. The pool was refreshing, felt great and is about 7 feet at the deep end. The layout of the house is nice because there are plenty of areas to spend time together or have privacy as well. We were told the property is the second-oldest in the Jessups Village but it has been maintained very well. It is a short 8-10 minute drive to the Four Seasons Resort and about a 15 minute drive to Qualie Beach where you get catch the ferry to St. Kitts. On another note, Oliver recommended a chef named Kathy to come cook for us at the house. We decided to give it a try and she delivered!! She prepared a fantastic wedding day ladies' brunch that was a major hit. The ladies kept commenting about how beautiful the property was and how much they loved the food. She also cooked dinner for just our family one night and it was absolutely fantastic, if you stay here you definitely need to try it out at least once. As far as dealing with personnel went, we could not have had a better experience. Oliver was simply amazing and very easy to deal with. He gave us great recommendations, was flexible and very pleasant. In addition, Amelia (who met us at Qualie Beach) is the house manager and did a fantastic job. Thanks to you Oliver and your staff, our family will definitely be back to stay at Chez Wilson!!
A wonderful week at Chez Wilson. We were 3 couples and it was very spacious. The infinity pool was very inviting. Lush gardens with humming birds enjoying the flowers and cheeky monkeys paying us a visit. The kitchen was well equipped so we were able to cook on the BBQ and enjoy breakfast overlooking spectacular views. Chevy and Sean cooked for us one evening we had the most delicious Caribbean food and the best rum punch (who knows the secret ingredient??) The maid kept the villa clean and we had the luxury of using the laundry room although the maid will do it at a small cost which is a bonus! Who wants to come home with loads of washing.......The Island is very peaceful a fabulous retreat and we enjoyed eating at several restaurants. Beautiful beaches and the locals are very friendly. We felt very safe in Nevis. Make sure you bring plenty of insect repellent the lush vegetation encourages lots of mosquitoes!..
Our family of 6 rented this home for a week's stay. I was the one that selected and booked the house nearly a year in advance, and when we finally arrived and saw it in person my comment was, "I've outdone myself."
All kidding aside, the house was perfect. We were 3 couples (my husband and I, plus both our parents) and the layout is such that we all had complete privacy. The master bedroom is an absolute sanctuary in itself!
The pool and outdoor living spaces were perfect. We spent the vast majority of our time there - even if it rained.
The pool is to die for!! At 66ft, it even has a lane line in the bottom, so you can actually swim proper laps and get a good workout. It also has a shallow platform for sunbathing or for little ones. And the view!!
The kitchen was also perfectly appointed - we wanted for nothing.
The grounds were huge and spectacular, and we loved seeing the monkeys come for breakfast in the morning.
Leading up to our stay, Oliver and Amelia were very attentive making sure we got properly settled and had a great list of things to do.
We had a fabulous stay in Nevis, and should we ever return, we would DEFINITELY stay again at Chez Wilson.
Chez Wilson is an ideal spot to spend a relaxing Nevis holiday.
This home is set well up on the hillside above the Four Seasons Hotel. The setting is beautifully landscaped creating a quiet and peaceful setting.
The main feature is a spectacular infinity pool with a great view out to the sea with St Kitts in the background. We spent almost of our time out of doors around the pool.
The villa is within easy reach of the 5-star Four Seasons Resort with its world-class golf, tennis and spa facilities, as well as a choice of restaurants. It is also a short stroll or drive to the beautiful golden sandy Pinney's beach which runs for four miles along the Caribbean coast, and has great lunch or drinks spots including the famous Sunshine's bar, Chevy's and The Yachtsman Grill.
