The 'Palazzo Bucciolini', which takes its name from the family, owner of the 'Palace Bucciolini already Pitti', bought it in the mid-nineteenth century, when Florence was the capital of Italy. In the entrance hallway, the center of the vault and on ronta of the gate, is the family crest.
The frescoes date from the middle of the '700. As in many Historical Buildings not present the 'lift, but there are 22 steps to the apartment.
The street where it is located, Via delle Caladaie, owes its name to the boilers of the Wool Guild that many were in the area of Oltrarno and which were used to heat the pools to make the dying of cloth.

We came to see Florence (and a bit of Rome) as 4 couples with no children. Across the 2 apartments, Venere and Angeli this was very comfortably accommodated.
Angeli is the larger of the two with 3 double rooms and further beds for children or people prepared to share. Venere is a very spacious suite for one couple. The apartments share a common hallway in the first picture.
Our stay was outstanding. Eleonora the house keeper could not have been more helpful. She organised taxis to and from the airport as required, a dinner in house with the family chef as well as advising on many things around Florence. We had one unfortunate incident with key stuck in a lock Eleonora had this fixed within hours.
The in house dinner is worth mentioning separately, Laura and Luigi took our order the day before producing a wonderful meal of local cuisine that catered for Veggies and meat eaters alike. I would highly recommend this as part of the apartment experience (Along with the family wine)
The place reflects the city of Florence, endless frescos adorn the walls and ceilings, tasteful furnishings and comfortable chairs and settees. On one day of extremely poor weather we spent much of the time in the apartment without getting under each others feet, really enjoying our environment!
Florence is a beautiful city packed with art, culture and history. Everything you want to see is easily accessible from the apartment by foot though taxis are plentiful if required. There are too many places of interest to list here though worth mentioning the Ufizzi Gallery as a must (Prebook) and the Tower/Cathedral/Baptistery.
You don’t have to look hard for great restaurants and if its ice cream you want the very best Florence has to offer is just around the corner
We went to Rome for the day for Italy Vs England 6 Nations Rugby at the Stadio Olimpico, easily achieved with the high speed rail link (1hr 30 minutes), some of us returned to Rome later in the week for some sight seeing.
I took some of my friends to the beautiful walled city of Lucca, in hindsight that might have been better left to sprint or summer as much of Lucca was closed!
All in all an excellent stay in a wonderful environment. I hope we return another time.
The apartment was spacious and pretty. Our family of 3 teenagers and 2 adults had plenty of room. The hosts were gracious and responsive. The apartment is up one flight of stairs. When you walk in there is a beautifully decorated shared entryway with another apartment. The entryway has beautiful antiques and original frescos. There are three bedrooms on the first floor of the apartment and a beautiful, recently renovated bathroom with a large shower. Upstairs there is a smaller bathroom with a shower and a small bedroom. We didn't use the upstairs bedroom because the host informed us that it gets very hot. The apartment was very clean. There were plenty of towels. The beds were comfortable. The location was perfect. An easy walk to the Piazza della Signoria. There is a delicious bakery on the corner and several restaurants within walking distance. Really a wonderful stay!
Property 1129716, "Angeli", is a huge apartment. It has high ceilings, painted murals on the walls, big windows with garden views. Simple kitchen is fully adequate for making small meals. Little terrace has a table and chairs, though not very private. Two of us stayed there but there is planty of room for 6 or more people. Quiet charming neighborhood.
The apartment is located in one of the most beautiful areas of the historic center of Florence. In fact, despite being in a quiet street with little traffic, opposite the Palace of the famous Gucci griff, however, is in the heart of the nightlife of Florence, close to many good Tuscan restaurants, bars, pubs and wine bars. In the same way there are also many grocery stores, like an oven, a butcher etc..Inoltre is close to the major attractions in Florence like Ponte Vecchio, Uffizi Gallery, Palazzo Pitti, Boboli Gardens, Museum of the Observatory. There is also a bus stop within 5 minutes walk
