Wonderful setting, gracious hosts, lots of fun memories!
Very cool setting which made our trip to visit family in nearby Fenton even more special! Thank you!
The farmhouse is clean, cozy (but plenty spacious) and so inviting. The setting is peaceful and offers much to enjoy: egg gathering, cow milking, country walks, wooded hikes, orchard visits, river paddling!! Tammy is a perfect hostess and we so enjoyed our fall family getaway. Definitely recommend!!
Quiet, relaxing, adorable and super clean farmhouse
Tammy made sure all was perfect for our stay, along with fresh flowers from her gardens all over the house. Lovely, hard to break away from front porch, great for a morning cup of coffee!! Wonderful place to get away!!
Unique farm house with many features
My 4 kids and I spent a great week here. The house is old but clean and comfortable - great king bed in the first floor master bedroom. The stairs seemed a little steeper than I'm used to, but was fine for the kids in the 2 bedrooms upstairs. The out of the way peaceful village was ideal for us, with easy and close access to the highway and to restaurants and stores in Hartland and Fenton. Plenty of towels and all needed supplies were stocked in the house, including condiments in the fridge.
My kids loved the more unique features such as the hammock, huge cozy porch, (admittedly out of tune) piano, kayaks and row boat on a peaceful lake, the animals (a few cows, chickens and 2 very friendly barn cats) and Tammy showed them around so they could feed the cows and collect eggs. We ran out of time but we liked that we could have used the hot tub and fire pit.
I had wondered whether being on a farm in the dead of summer would mean strong odors or flies, but we had none of either.
We were in Michigan for a conference in Ann Arbor and at least for summer, the daily commute wasn't bad.
Mom, jacob (fur baby) and I had an amazing time on the farm. Tammy made us feel right at home! The house was very cozy and clean. Anything we needed was right there and we even had extras like fresh eggs to gather each morning for breakfast. Everything was just as I had hoped and better. Tammy was very easy to communicate with and answered all questions we had. We will be back again!
