About Eric Baldus
Born and raised in Southern MN I moved to NE Minneapolis in 1994. I am a true Minneapolitan and Nordest Convert! I am the father of two amazing kids and landscape designer by trade. I love travel and have been to 27 countries and have lived over seas for a stint. I love craft bear and great food. I would love to tell you all the Gems of NE!
Eric Baldus purchased this House in 2004
Why Eric Baldus chose Northeast Minneapolis
I fell in love with NE Minneapolis when I moved up here for collage. After a number of years searching I found this home and brought it back to life. It is a beautiful victorain with great bones, it had just fallen into great disrepair. When I purchased it it was boarded up and needed alot of help. I have completely redone the entire home and live in the second story.
What makes this House unique
The home is very spacious, and has an amazing back yard. The mornings are best spent out on the front covered porch and the afternoons in the backyard on the historic cobble patio. There is a Wood Fired Pizza Oven that can be rented out for an event, I will supply the dough and will act as your personal Pizzaiolo! The space has a climbing wall for kids as well as a fort and sandbox for play ( as well as a fort:))

Great house and location
This place is exactly what we were looking for for a long weekend in Minneapolis. It had plenty or room and was in a convenient location for a longer walk/short Lyft downtown and was easily walkable to the many places that the neighborhood had to offer. Will definitely check it out again the next time we're in town.
This home is vintage but updated nicely. There is a good source of heat and adequate lighting (though some lamps would've been appreciated). I loved that I could see outside but there was also privacy with the window coverings. The kitchen is well stocked with stove top cooking supplies and even more than the average cooking staples. Eric was very reachable with any questions or concerns I had. The patio would be awesome in warmer weather but we did get to enjoy the hot tub!
Split Level - Great Location
We had a lovely stay here and Eric was a great host during our party in the backyard.
When we booked, we were unaware that this is a split level victorian and we were only getting the lower level. The owner lives on the upstairs level. It wasn't an issue for us, it actually turned out for the best as Eric used his mad pizzaiolo skills at our party (which was pre-approved with him, of course), but it was a surprise when we arrived as we thought it was a true "entire house" rental. As long as you go in with the expectation that the owner does live on the property - you'll be very happy.
Eric is awesome, his place is fine and the location is fabulous. Highly recommend if you want to be close to great neighborhoods and downtown. Street parking was never an issue and Eric was very communicative throughout the process.
Great location, gracious host
We enjoyed our stay. Location perfect, everything in downtown Minneapolis was easily accessible. Lots of street parking in the neighborhood. Washer / dryer not working but host offered to let us use his. Laundromat only 2 blocks away ($2.50 for wash, I believe and $1.50 for dry) so it was easy enough to use that. Host used excellent communication throughout the stay.
Updated kitchen, lots of room, great location and wonderful art. Could have used a table or floor lamp however. Beautiful landscape but needed a little upkeep. Overall, a very pleasant stay.
Nice house. Great location.
We enjoyed our stay here. Lots of space for our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 young kids) and an awesome location for getting to/from local attractions. Eric, the owner, is very easy to talk to, accomodating and addressed any concerns right away.
