This talented American fashion photographer rented our flat and liked it so much she published a series of pictures on her website.
Located in a quiet and sunny street, the flat is at the really heart of the capital: Montmartre, Opera with all its department stores which are directly accessible by foot.
Several metro lines allow you to visit the other districts. Blanche metro station (M2) goes directly to the Champs-Elysées; St Georges (M12) or Saint Lazare (M14) to the Marais, Liège (M13).
This crossing apartment was fully renovated at the beginning of 2012. It is located on the 2nd floor of a building from the late 18th century without elevator. All the common areas and the facades were renovated in 2011.
Located in Paris 9 district and his Romantic life Museum, its owners decorated it in the same spirit: doubled curtains, parquet, fireplaces, woodwork, paintings, and objects of curiosity. The bathroom is designed in a Victorian spirit. The kitchen is realized in a very contemporary way with black granite from Zimbabwe. Two rooms with a double bed (160 x 200 and 140 x 200) can accommodate two couples. In the living room a single bed is also available.

L'appartement est dans une rue calme, peu passante, au 2ème étage, ensoleillé. Il offre toutes les commodités de la vie moderne (internet, cuisine entièrement équipée, chauffage central, baignoire, douche).

We loved Stephane's apartment. We had our three teenage sons with us and it was a perfect size for us. The interior decoration is lovely and very French! We thoroughly enjoyed the neighbourhood, it was well situated for Metro stations and shopping. We walked to Montmartre at night and loved the little Bistros in SoPi. We had the windows open at night (we love windows that open) and there was a fair bit of street noise, but it was charming Parisian street noise, so it was fine. The coffee machine was a revelation - we had delicious breakfasts in the flat and thank Stephane for leaving us such nice goodies to get us started on our wonderful week in Paris.
We found the apartment to be charming and old-world in style mixed with modern conveniences. Great neighborhood to explore, easy walk t Metrp. Stephane left us breakfast the first day and also gave us a trendies amount of information to make the most out of our trip. Wonderful experience!
We stayed in this apartment for two months. It is in a great location on the edge of Montmartre. Very convenient to three metro lines and many bus routes. There are lots of restaurants of all types and prices within easy walking distance. The apartment has sufficient space and the kitchen and bathroom function well. But - and this is beyond the owner's control - there is, apparently, no soundproofing in the ceiling which means that you hear (and often feel) every single footstep from the people who live there. Because of this, you are at the mercy of their schedule. If you stay up late, this is no problem - but for us it meant that we had to plan our bedtime around their noise. As I said, this has nothing to do with either the landlord, the local manager Alexandre (who was very helpful) or the quality of the apartment.
When we come to a city and stay in a hotel, we are simply visitors, there to observe the inhabitants, see the sights, shop a little.
Taking an apartment can change that relationship. There can be other tenants – working people, professional people, families with children and a daily life, whom we will sometimes meet at a door or on the stairs. If it is six blocks or so down the street from the Moulin Rouge, that’s an interesting tidbit to put into an email, but the truly important thing to us was its position in a real neighborhood, one with a fine boulangerie where a very good baguette can be had for 0.9 Euro every morning but Monday. Simply walking up the street to bring that home is a better start to any day than room service ever was. And tastier!
Thank you so very much, Stephane, for your opening this lovely place to us, and to Charles and Alexandre for their “bienvenue” and “au revoir.” And thanks for those lovely, comfortable rooms with their comfortable beds, for the sweet kitchen, the very French bath. We will cherish our visit here until we come back, as we certainly intend to, at least every other year as long as we can still walk five miles every day and deal with all those stairs up and down, in and out of the Metro!
This was my second time at Stephane and Jean's appartment. Last summer I stayed with my daughter for 3 weeks. This past time, for a week with a colleague and our wives. The apartment is a charming two-bedroom, 3rd floor (US) walk-up on a quiet side street. The two bedrooms are true bedrooms, there are also two sofas in the separate salon. Location is splendid with three different Metro stops and a full service Monoprix within 5 minutes walk; the Opera and major Department Stores are within 10. A well-equipped kitchen including a washer/dryer combo. Free calling back to the US and US mobiles, along with excellent WiFi.
I will stay here without hesitation each time I come back if it is available.
Stephane and Jean are extremely gracious hosts with a wealth of knowledge about the neighborhood and Paris at large.
I stayed in this apartment for a week with my Mum who is recovering from an illness. It proved to be a perfect bolt-hole, providing a relaxing environment in a very central location, with every amenity we could need.
The decor is stylish and comfortable, the flat is extremely clean, very peaceful and loaded with the latest and best equipment. I would recommend staying here to anyone (without children) in a heartbeat!
Most of all I would like to thank Stephane and Jean (and their friend, Alexandre) for taking such amazingly good care of us. The service provided from the word go was exemplary and continued to be so throughout our entire trip. Merci beaucoup!
