Overview

About the property

5/2, sleeps up to 15; Old farmhouse, Original features, On Route 100

NEW -- Wi-Fi!

Our large and lovely old 1880 two-story farmhouse is beautifully situated on 4 acres with a babbling brook and backs up to the Green Mountain National Forest. Easy access year around. Located on Route 100 just north of Hancock, a popular scenic route through Vermont.

It is certainly not fancy or deluxe, just plain/simple accommodations for a family to enjoy. We've left as many of the original features of the home as possible. But the home is very large, and with comfortable furnishings, it is a great place for families to get together all under one roof and enjoy a vacation.

Located in the heart of Ski Country just south of Granville--within 20 minutes of SugarBush, Killington, Middlebury SnoBowl. Also, ride-out to the VAST trails located across the road. Located right on Route 100 (some road noise), but easy access year round.

Golfing within 5 minutes, hiking, waterfalls, kayaking, rafting, swimming, ice skating, and lots and lots of beauty all around!

Fall Foliage is Gorgeous

Don't miss it!

High-Speed Wi-Fi Available.

Washer/dryer upstairs. Also, additional kitchenette--microwave, table/chairs, dishes, refrigerator.

Upstairs has lots of room for games/puzzles/books. We've set up an older game system (Super Nintendo) for the kids to play, with all G-rated games.

We are located on a main road, and the hill by our driveway is a cause for caution when pulling in and out. When departing, before pulling out onto the road, roll down your car window and listen for traffic sounds. Only pull out when you hear silence, as that is a signal it is clear. The cars travelling along that Route 100 can sometimes be going fast, and come up fast over the hill. Listening for cars is vital! We don't want any accidents, so take these precautions!

About Bethany Mousadi, Owner/Manager

We are the Mousadi Family of 5. We love skiing in Vermont! We found our vacation home, and fell in love with it immediatelly--from the babbling brook beside the home, to the wide-board hardwood floors, the spacious room, to the great location to sereral of the best skiing areas in Vermont! Fall foliage is beautiful, too! And the spring and summers bring beauty and delight!

Bethany Mousadi, Owner/Manager purchased this house in 2003

Why Bethany Mousadi, Owner/Manager chose Lake Champlain Valley

Being from Vermont, Bethany always was back visiting relatives throughout the years. After getting married and having children, Alex and Bethany wanted to not only visit Vermont to see family, but have a vacation home to feel comfortable in and enjoy vacationing in Vermont. This home fit the bill--and because they don't vacation full-time, they've made it available for others to enjoy!

What makes this house unique

The benefits of this home are that it is right in the heart of Vermont activities--from cross-country skiing nearby, golf courses, snow skiing, VAST snowmobile trails right out the front door, Ben & Jerry's ice cream and other tourist favorites to enjoy, are only a beginning. Then the home itself is right on Route 100, easy access year around. It is large and comfortable, great for families who want to stay in the same home--there is room for all with plenty of room to spare--it's great!

Old country home charm

  • 4 of 5

It's not luxurious but well equipped and lots of room to have 2 families spread out. Close to both Killington and sugarbush.

Fun Time with Friends at Hancock Farmhouse

  • 5 of 5

This old farmhouse in Hancock was spacious and clean. It was not fancy or luxurious but it was perfect for our ski group with one non-skiing dog! There were plenty of beds, the showers had great pressure and plenty of hot water. Wifi was appreciated. TV's worked perfectly. Having two separate seating areas was a huge plus .... the "chatty" group sat in one area and the "tv watchers" sat in the other. Within 25 minutes of Killington. A very picturesque area; big red bard and field across the road. You can't beat the price for a holiday weekend accommodating so many people. As well, the owner is very responsive to calls/requests. I would definitely return in any season.

Simple, but exactly what we were looking for in a ski house for a big group. 5 stars!

  • 5 of 5

The house is simple, but there are a lot (maybe 12 or so) beds and a big area for everyone to hangout, so it was perfect for a big group on a ski weekend. The kitchen has all the basics, but if you will need something specific, bring it. We cooked a big dinner for everyone and it went smoothly. Overall, we had a great time. Will definitely stay again.

It is a nice kitchen to cook with lot of utensils.

Kids have enjoyed a lot when we stay in the house to roam around inside and played and hide and seek. We have located the instruction book only on final day from kitchen, please have it in living room so that it will be visible to the visitor's

Great location, lots of room!

  • 4 of 5

House is in a good location, great views of the mountains. Close to road but very quiet at night. Pictures of house seem to be a little dated. Some furniture and beds could use updating since some are pretty worn out. House was clean and had most items you would need to be comfortable.

Pleanty of space for everyone!

  • 5 of 5

I rented the farmhouse for a girls waterfall tour. The farmhouse was our home base as we toured around Vermont. The farmhouse is bigger than expected and we all had plenty of room. There was no problem sharing the 2 bathroom and we never ran out of hot water. There is an open concept living room / dinning room which is where we spent all of our time, however there is also another living room if someone wants to watch TV or read a book in peace and quiet. There isn't a lot of counter space in the kitchen, however we made good use of the table to prepare meals and set up our buffet. It was also nice to be able to sit and keep the cook company and help out when needed. We did use the fire pit in the back twice and it was so relaxing, roasting marshmallows and looking up at the stars. Please remember when renting this house that it is a farmhouse and part of it's charm are the original fixtures & decorations, like the claw foot tub & the wide plank floors in the down stairs.
