Hancock House Rental Photos and Description

5/2, sleeps up to 16; Inquire for larger family groups

NEW -- Wi-Fi!

Our large and lovely old 1880 two-story farmhouse is beautifully situated on 4 acres with a babbling brook and backs up to the Green Mountain National Forest. Easy access year around. Located on Route 100 just north of Hancock, a popular scenic route through Vermont.

It is certainly not fancy or deluxe, just plain/simple accommodations for a family to enjoy. We've left as many of the original features of the home as possible. But the home is very large, and with comfortable furnishings, it is a great place for families to get together all under one roof and enjoy a vacation.

Located in the heart of Ski Country just south of Granville--within 20 minutes of SugarBush, Killington, Middlebury SnoBowl. Also, ride-out to the VAST trails located across the road.

Golfing within 5 minutes, hiking, waterfalls, kayaking, rafting, swimming, ice skating, and lots and lots of beauty all around!

Fall Foliage is Gorgeous

Don't miss it!

Additional Info:: VISA/MC Accepted!!

NOW with WiFi!

Washer/dryer upstairs. Also, additional kitchenette--microwave, table/chairs, dishes, refrigerator.

Upstairs has lots of room for games/puzzles/books. We've set up an older game system (Super Nintendo) for the kids to play, with all G-rated games.

About Bethany Mousadi, Owner/Manager

We are the Mousadi Family of 5. We love skiing in Vermont! We found our vacation home, and fell in love with it immediatelly--from the babbling brook beside the home, to the wide-board hardwood floors, the spacious room, to the great location to sereral of the best skiing areas in Vermont! Fall foliage is beautiful, too! And the spring and summers bring beauty and delight!

Bethany Mousadi, Owner/Manager purchased this house in 2003

Why Bethany Mousadi, Owner/Manager chose Lake Champlain Valley

Being from Vermont, Bethany always was back visiting relatives throughout the years. After getting married and having children, Alex and Bethany wanted to not only visit Vermont to see family, but have a vacation home to feel comfortable in and enjoy vacationing in Vermont. This home fit the bill--and because they don't vacation full-time, they've made it available for others to enjoy!

What makes this house unique

The benefits of this home are that it is right in the heart of Vermont activities--from cross-coutry skiing nearby, golf courses, snow skiing, VAST snowmobile trails right out the front door, Ben & Jerry's icecream and other tourist favorites to enjoy, are only a beginning. Then the home itself is right on Route 100, easy access year around. It is large and comfortable, great for families who want to stay in the same home--there is room for all with plenty of room to spare--it's great!

Pleanty of space for everyone!

  • 5 of 5

I rented the farmhouse for a girls waterfall tour. The farmhouse was our home base as we toured around Vermont. The farmhouse is bigger than expected and we all had plenty of room. There was no problem sharing the 2 bathroom and we never ran out of hot water. There is an open concept living room / dinning room which is where we spent all of our time, however there is also another living room if someone wants to watch TV or read a book in peace and quiet. There isn't a lot of counter space in the kitchen, however we made good use of the table to prepare meals and set up our buffet. It was also nice to be able to sit and keep the cook company and help out when needed. We did use the fire pit in the back twice and it was so relaxing, roasting marshmallows and looking up at the stars. Please remember when renting this house that it is a farmhouse and part of it's charm are the original fixtures & decorations, like the claw foot tub & the wide plank floors in the down stairs.

The most perfect place to stay with a large family!

  • 5 of 5

We booked Bethany's place for our wedding weekend! We got married 10 minutes from the house so it was extremely convenient ! We are in our 50's and all of our children and grand children were in the wedding party so we wanted a place that would accommodate 18 people! It could not have been more perfect ... Plenty of beds and space to roam and work and play so that we were not on top of each other yet experiencing this special time together! It was very clean but the decour was not so pristine that we had to worry about the kids playing! It was so comfortable ! The kitchen was big enough to accommodate a few cooks, and well stocked with utensils, pots, pans, etc. The setting with the brook and the little barn across the street topped off the weekend ! It is close to the main road so if you have kids that don't know to stay away from the road, beware! Our grand kids were absolutely fine ... And we had lots of adult supervision outdoors! The only issue was that some of the beds were very uncomfortable, but everything else great about the place made up for it ! Will be contacting her to stay again! We all agreed !

Thank you Bethany for a great stay!

Beautiful old farmhouse with all the charms of Vermont.

  • 5 of 5

Very spacious and comfortable. We had 8 adults but could have comfortably fit more. The owner was very nice, easy to deal with, and accommodating.

Excellent location for skiing Killington/Pico and Sugarbush/Mad River Glenn. Beautiful setting, including a babbling brook on the property to lull you to sleep. The old farmhouse kitchen worked nicely for our large group and was well equipped, complete with old wide board floors. We'd love to return to this house for another ski vacation.

Spacious and inviting

  • 4 of 5

An old Vermont farmhouse with plenty of beds and space for gathering family and friends. The interior is well maintained with gorgeous wide board floors. The furniture is well used but adequate and clean. The backyard is spacious, but the front is near the road - take care with dogs or small children. (Road noise is not a problem as the house is in a rural area. ). We had a lovely stay and will return again!

Perfect ski getaway

  • 5 of 5

The house doesn't look like much from the outside but has old world charm inside. Plenty of space for two families with extra beds to boot. We had nice dinners and fun playing games and watching movies. My kids were enthralled with the old school Nintendo machine with tons of games to choose from that is there.

It's a good 20-25 minutes from Sugarbush or Killington. Mac's market had everything we needed for groceries. Fun time..
