Harrison House Rental Photos and Description

2 bedrooms, 1 child bunkroom, 1 full bath, sleeps 7 adults max

If you are looking for a quiet body of water to relax, fish & do some swimming, then Haven House is just what you are looking for. 115' of private lakefront on Haven Lake with a large wooded yard. The house has a large comfortable fully equipped kitchen. The living room is 20' x 16' with sliding glass doors that open onto a deck overlooking the lake. There are two bedrooms and a small bunk room for the children. There is one bathroom and a sunroom. Outside, there is a stone fire ring, picnic tables, swing, gas grill, 2 docks, a canoe and a rowboat included in the rental. The lake is canaled to four other lakes. A great place to boat from one area to another to fish, or just enjoy canoeing, or rowing around. All of the chain of lakes have the Slow/No Wake hours of 7:30PM until 11AM the next day. Motor boats are welcome. Skiing and other water sport activities allowed on the larger lakes, (there are 5 lakes total joined by canals). A boat launch is within 1 block of Haven House. No pets, no smoking inside the house. Smoking outside okay. Please understand that while we want everyone to have fun, we do not encourage loud music that disturbs the lake. Cleaning/security depost required. Taxes are included in the rental price. We try for full week rentals in summer, (Sunday to Sunday), but can be flexible. During spring and fall any day arrivals are possible and welcome provided it fits previously scheduled guests and any maintenance projects we may have in progress.

The house also has a covered patio area overlooking the lake in addition to the deck off the back of the house. There is a paved driveway with a basketball hoop for the kids to enjoy. No smoking inside the house. Smoking outside okay.

Wonderful cottage and excellent host!

  • 5 of 5

Spent 12 days here the end of August then into Sept, very comfortable cottage! Kevin is one of the most gracious host we've ever meet. We traveled from TN to stay here and would recommend this cottage to Everyone. Thanks again Kevin for making our stay so enjoyable!

Wonderful place to vacation

  • 5 of 5

Had a wonderful time. Cabin is truly a home and a great place to relax. Had fun taking the pontoon for a ride each night. Nice sandy beach. Weather for Mi could not had been better. In the 90's so the air conditioning was great. We are planning to stay again next year. Thank you Kevin and Anna.

Haven House addict

  • 5 of 5

We keep coming back for more! Always more than satisfied. Haven House is well maintained and equipped. Good for fishing or just relaxing. Kevin is awesome to deal with, answers all your questions, and keeps current info on site for things like restaurants, groceries, etc. The listing is accurate except that it understates the charm of this place.

More than I even expected !

  • 5 of 5

After reading all the reviews before booking the cottage I knew it was going to be nice. I was over joyed when I arrived and seen the cottage was even bigger than i expected and on a perfect lot. Kevin the owner was there to meet me and give me a tour of the place. He was very nice and showed us the whole property and even put new spark plugs in a very nice pontoon while he was there. We throughly enjoyed our time there on the lake fishing and just relaxing. It is in a secluded area and we never heard any neighbors at anytime. We caught all kinds of fish and also enjoyed boating down the canal to the other lakes that were accessible from the cottage. A very clean cottage and more spacious than I thought it would be. I will definately rent this cottage again.

Exactly as described on website. Lots of cool things throughout the home. Kitchen had everything you could need or want. Very spacious and quiet. Just what was needed to get away from the stress of city life. Lake was like a sheet of glass. No stress, relaxing. Kevin was very helpful and friendly when we arrived. God Bless Anna and Kevin and sharing their home with others.

Great rental for small groups

  • 5 of 5

I stayed in the cabin for 3 nights as part of a group of 10, including 3 children. The house is a little older, but is clean, well maintained, and has the northern Michigan charm. The description on the website is accurate. The wooded lot is private and the location on the lake is great, is connected to other lakes and allows for fun trips on the pontoon, is great for swimming (the water was clean), and seems to have a lot of fish, which made yummy dinner. The sandy beach area was great and safe for kids to play in (the water was very shallow by the beach area). Having a washer and dryer was very convenient with keeping our towels clean and dry. The house is actually a lot larger inside than what it appears to be in the picture. The kitchen has a great island with plenty of space for food prep and has all kitchen necessities in it. The only problem with the house that we ran into was having 1 bathroom for 10 people, especially in the morning when everyone was getting up, however, it was accurately reflected in the description of the house. The house and the outdoors have plenty of space for a group of 10 to be together. Kevin, the owner, was very nice and accommodating and made the booking process very smooth. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend or relative. As far as nearby attractions, the city center is about 10 minutes away, and if you like kayaking on the river, you can rent them about 20 minutes away. I hope to go back to this rental next year.
