We had a wonderful time at Diane’s condo. Communicating with her was effortless. She sent us lots of relevant information about the house directions and rules. The house was everything that we wanted and more. It was plenty big for 3 couples. Sitting by the fireplace was amazing. The kitchen has lots of useful pots, pans, and utensils to thrill any gourmet lover. The location of the house is very convenient for skiing at Okemo, particularly close to Jackson Gore Base Area. I am sure the area is equally as nice in the summertime, though we are very partial towards the winter season. The only pity was that we couldn’t take advantage of the hot tub in the upstairs bathroom – it is a very big tub and for some reason the water heater couldn’t cope to heat all the water needed to fill it up. There might have been a trick that we didn’t know about but we also decided not to bother Diane about it.
Thank you for letting us enjoy your property! We will definitely like to go back to it.
My wife, dog and I had a very pleasant and relaxing stay at this condo. It is tucked away in a private location and very quiet. The house is very well stocked with kitchen tools and electronic entertainment. The house was also very clean and it was a pleasure to stay there. The location is great with easy access to town, hiking trails, and local sites. Diane is a helpful and responsive owner, all in all five stars.
I can not begin to tell you what an amazing stay we had at this condo. First off, the owners were fantastic to work with. They truly went above and beyond. Second, you hardly know you are staying in a condo - it feels like a single family home. We did meet our immediate neighbors who reside here and they are a very sweet couple. There was plenty of room for our large party - 2 adults, 5 teenage girls and 2 dogs. No one ever felt crowded or under foot. The kitchen is great - very spacious and well equipped. No surprises here - the photos and description of the property are completely accurate. This is a very comfortable home that you and your family can relax in. Thank you, Diane, for even trying to help us with our car trouble.
The other reviewers were correct, this place is amazing. A group of 7 went on a 3 day ski trip from the 10-13th. From the time we arrived to the time we left, we had an outstanding vacation. It was one of the nicest condos I have yet to stay at in Vermont. Everything is updated and they really made sure every detail was covered and stocked properly. Great location very quiet and private with really great views. Diane was awesome throughout the process she was very sweet and accommodating and made sure our stay was great. I would 100% recommend this place again, I will definitely be staying here in the future. If you want a relaxing vacation with no headaches, this is the place to rent! Best part it was 5 minutes to Okemo Mountain!
My family and friends (8 total) have spent a week in this property; this is a condo, but you have the feeling of being in a standalone house, nestled in the woods and secluded from noise and traffic. The unit is very well designed and spacious - with an open feeling in the kitchen/living-room area which far exceeds what you can guess from the pictures published here.
The master bedroom on the top floor has a very comfortable king size bed (tempurpedic matresses), and is connected to a bathroom with a spectacular, oversized jacuzi (and shower). The bottom floor (the unit is on three levels) has two "official" bedrooms, one of them with bunk beds and a queen, the other one with a queen and a single; there is also a den (with a door), which works very well as additional bedroom, with a comfortable futon. A bathroom and the laundry room are at the same level.
The kitchen (middle level) has all you need for cooking and baking, and is adjacent the dining/living-room - with a table which can be extended to easily host than at least 10 people; an additional half bathroom is at the same level as the kitchen. You have cathedral ceilings above the fireplace, which provide a nice, airy, open area.
We were there after Christmas; the drive to Jackson Gore for skiing was short and smooth - no traffic going there or coming back (if you know Okemo, you know traffic is a mess if you need to get at the base lodge in the village) .
Dealing with the owner, Diane, was a pleasure. Diane was very responsive and accomodating, and she answered immediately any questions we had before and after getting there.
In short, a highly recommended property-owner combination. We will surely try going back again.
I've been coming to this place for a few years now with my family and this past summer me & my boyfriend went. It's perfect for families and also was a nice romantic getaway. They have so much to offer there, between kayaking, bird-watching, fishing and just sitting by the lake with a good book.. it's my favorite place for a great vacation. The owner was also very helpful & kind, the house was clean, the location was perfect, I have no complaints and would recommend it to everyone!
Swim, fish, kayak, canoe, hike, or just relax. In winter Okemo's Jackson Gore is 3 miles away. 11 miles to Killington, 40 minutes to Stratton.
