CENTRAL AND QUIET LOCATION IN A PRESTIGIOUS VENETIAN PALACE

This' apartment of 65 sqm, for 2 persons, called Ca'Rosa - San Marco, is Placed in the context of a seventeenth-century building and is located in super central location, with entrance on Via XXII Marzo, Which is overlooked by all the most famous signatures. The entrance is located, Also Has shore water if you want to get a taxi. It 's located on the 3 rd floor, accessible by elevator. A beautiful living room with sofa (Possibility of 2 additional beds), furniture, fireplace (although not working as it is prohibited in Venice historical center), a small dining area and a full kitchen (dishwasher, stove, refrigerator, oven, toaster) , the bedroom with dressing room with wardrobe, Which Gives access to the master bedroom, elegantly furnished, and the bathroom (very elegant and spacious, covered in marble with bath / shower), form the apartment has heating and wifi.

While enjoying a central location, is very quiet.

It 'Been furnished by the owner for personal use, with taste and elegance.

Should you lose the apartment's keys, € 500.00 will be charged to change the safety lock. Should you forget the keys inside the apartment, € 50.00 will be charged for our staff to come and opens the door and between 22. 00 and 08. 00 the charge is € 100.00

From August 24, 2011, all visitors staying in a residence in the territory of the Municipality of Venice must pay the 'tourist tax'.

Location and Elevator but....

Ca Rosa Venice

Pros

Location is perfect for a visit to Venice where you want to focus on Saint Marks Square, you are one bridge away from St Marks Square and you are on a major shopping street. The entrance is through a old wooden door to a piano -0- where a elevator, one person and a bag lifts you to the third floor. The windows in the living room and bedroom face the canal below you get tot listed to the singing and music from the gondeleres. Beautifully finished walls and bathroom.

Cons

Thin walls, the noise of the other units and the outside are heard in the apartment and vice versa. You get a single key so you MUST stay together. TV does not work (you are told, the antenna has blown down last week, it will be repaired Monday) I imagine this excuse is used over and over. Filthy stained bed cover, peeling paint on the bathroom ceilings, refrigerator door needs to be reset from hitting the kitchen count top as it closes, the lighting is either harsh or non existent. No heat is supplied until October 15 by law. The bed is sitting on the floor, really, the lowest bed I have ever slept in. Bathroom exhaust fan not working. Bathroom door mirror hits toilet and is prone to being broken, but has never had any type of restraint installed to stop this from happening. Electricity main breaker is prone to tripping off, so much so that you are shown the main breaker panel on Piano -0-, as well as the panel in the apartment. This was once an exceptional apartment which through some years of neglect and disrepair has allowed it to go downhill oddly enough, 2 day and 500 euros could fix most of these obvious problems, but there seams to be no one who cares to do it. The apartment is just for making money, not spending it as is evidenced by the broker Veronica who trust us with no security deposit, (because she does not want to make a second trip here to return it, its too much work, and in her mind she is not paid enough to it. It seems to be beneath her.

Conclusion:

A good location and value for Venice, but…

Owner's Response: Well, I can write a thousend words to reply to this review. The only thing I can now say is that to such negativity I will not reply: you can not be please akk the persons, because all the person are different...I just suggest you next time to go to Hilton Hotel, payng 5 time more, I am sure you will have the same negative. Great location, nice apartment.

Other reviewers have accurately described this apartment, which is exactly as specified in the listing. We were met at the Giglio vaporetto stop( about 100 meters from the unit) and settled in quickly and efficiently. The location is perfect for us as first time visitors to Venice, about 250 meters to St. Marks square and on the main high end shopping street. Despite this it was quiet( serenading gondoliers could be heard on the adjacent canal if the double glazed windows were opened) and very comfortable for a couple - two extra children would have been OK on the lounge sofa bed but it would be tight for two couples. Transport to and from Marco Polo airport is easiest by Aligunha water bus to Giglio and it is preferable to travel with only one small suitcase each- extra cases can be left inexpensively at the airport left luggage depot- as the streets are narrow and the water buses invariably crowded. Although the unit has a fully equipped kitchen we found the many restaurants in Venice were good to excellent and apart from the canal front hotels generally fairly priced, if you do decide to self cater there are few supermarkets( the CoOps seemed to. Have the widest stocks) most Venecians shop daily at the central vegetable , fish, meat and cheese market ( next to the Rialto bridge)which is worth a visit on it's own account. We can recommend this apartment and felt that it represented good value for money , not always the case in Venice, and as noted was ideally located.

Fantastic apartment 2 minutes from St Marks Square

The apartment was fantastic and we were delighted with how central it was. We were given clear instructions on how to get to the apartment and we took the vaporetti from Marco Paulo airport to Mario de giglio where we were met by Stefano who walked us to the apartment, only a few minutes away. He was extremely friendly and very helpful and pointed out various places to go. You could look out from the apartment over the roof tops of Venice and look down to watch the gondolas go by and even hear the gondoliers singing to their clients. It was truly magical. The apartment was extremely clean and tidy and had most things you could wish for. A few more mugs would have been great! We did eat out all the time and if you travel away from the main tourist attractions you can find really reasonable places to eat and mingle with the locals. We walked everywhere and loved the way you would be walking down really narrow alleyways and then suddenly it opens up into an amazing square that is thriving with life. The fruit and vegetable market near the Bridge of Sighs is definitely worth seeing and you can't miss St Marks but we really enjoyed the walking around Venice and exploring all the different areas that it has. The people were lovely and the we were very lucky with the weather. We truly had a wonderful experience. We would recommend anyone going to take Mosquito spray as it was something we didn't think of! Veronica was the main person we dealt with before we left for Venice and also when we arrived in Venice. She couldn't have been more helpful. We would like to say a very big thank you to both Veronica and Stefano and we would definitely stay in the apartment again. We would thoroughly recommend this apartment.

Wonderful apartment on the canal

What a wonderful apartment! Veronica was wonderful, we had a mix up getting to the address, and she was patient and kind. The apt is immaculate and well stocked, it is easy access to the main shopping street with all the major brand names, Gucci, Vendi, Louie Vitton and more. A quick walk to San Marcos square, and just around the corner from Santa Maria del Giglio, the top of which can be seen from the livingroom window. The windows open to the canal, with gondolas passing by and serenaders singing intermittently throughout the day. It was a true taste of Venice and we highly recommend it. Would come back and stay without a second thought.

VENICE AT ITS BEST

For Those Who are celiac, as is always a small problem. I also do the 'turning the world I shared with the anxiety of not finding structures' pristine'. In this' quiet in the apartment will have breakfast or lunch at home: everything in the kitchen is pristine and, if willing, will serve as a celiac, and here at home. Also if you want fresh bread or a sweet home, just book it and be satisfied.
