The fully air conditioned 75m² apartment is located in a small, quiet, residential area built on the site of the ancient city of Kition. The building adjoins two small archaeological sites dating back to between the 12th and 9th Centuries B.C., and is situated away from the main tourist area, only a short walk to the Marina, Finikoudes Promenade and Blue Flag beach.
There is a huge terrace (100m² ) with stunning views of Larnaca, the mountains and the sea.
There are original paintings throughout the apartment. In the lounge is a two-seater sofa and a sofa-bed, two chairs, a T.V. and DVD player, a radio, and numerous books and games. The fully-fitted kitchen has all the mod cons (including a washing machine and dishwasher) and a dining area with traditional Cypriot-style chairs seating up to six people. The two bedrooms have built-in cupboards for storage. The apartment has its own private car parking space.
We are a Swedish family of 5 persons, parents and 3 girls 24-22-18, and we had WONDERFUL days in the apartment. What a view at breakfast and late night drink!!! The pictures on the web does not give it enough credit, the apartment deserve much more praise than the pictures show! The kitchen was very well equipped.
We had everything we needed within 5 minutes walk - internet cafe 3 min walk - and we could reach seafront in 10 min walk. We rent a car and that was no problem with parking.
Most of all we enjoyed staying on the terrace on the roof as soon as we came back from beach or from excursions. If you think to rent it - take that chance if it`s free!!!!!!
Nothing to complain about? No! But sometimes - especially in the morning -the traffic in the crossing below can be heavy!
We, mom and dad and triplets aged 16, stayed in this beautiful apartment for a week. The pictures does not give it enough credit. It is light and spacious and very well equipped. Double doors opens up from the living room to the great terrace, where you have sun beds, breakfasttable, a great souvlakigrill, and the sight and sounds of the old traditional greek orthodox church. We had everything we needed within 5-10 min walking. The great bakery next door, and the amazing Metro supermarket just up the road. For the first time on holiday we did not rent a car.
We had lovely weather and spent several days on the beach up by the fortress where George gave us discounted sunbeds and lots of charm in early season.
We kept a bit away from the main seafront at night, and had nice evenings at the 100 art cafe, and good meze at Monte Carlo.
But most of all we enjoyed staying on the terrace on the roof, playing scrabble and trivial pursuit, reading, listening to music and making good food.
It was a great place to stay. For those interested in shopping there are great shoe and clothes stores. In the remains of the turkish bazaars you get nuts and herbs, and for those renting a car you can get to the mountains or the great beaches within an hour!
I highly recommend this place. It has such a nice homely atmosphere!
Very proper description apartment and location.
Both were perfect for a restfull holiday, breakfast on a splendid terrace, comfortable apartment, clean and well maintained, everything from historic buildings, see and nature to shops for catering within walking distance. The "acceuil" on arrival was most hospitable, as was the "follow up" care.
Laranaca is a nice city to walk around (also if you are on your own) for sight-seeing - and visits to musea. The nature trail along the salt lake is worthwhile walking. People are very friendly.
I would not mind repeating this short winter break.
What a fantastic location. Don't normally stay in apartments, always in villas. We have now changed our minds, with the huge sun terrace and great views, I won't be staying in a villa in Larnaca as they are usually too far out from everything. We were about 6 minutes walk to all the major shops and about 8 minutes walk to the marina. There are supermarkets, bakeries and places to eat nearby. You have everything you could wish for without the need of a car. We had all the mod cons e.g. dishwasher, washing machine etc. In our opinion Larnaca is the best place in Cyprus as it is not too commercialised. Granville was very helpful with hints and advice and there are plenty of maps etc in the apartment. The weather was fairly good for Xmas, a light jacket and cropped trousers were fine for the day and even a spot of sunbathing. You will not find a better apartment in Larnaca that has everything and believe me we have stayed in loads of places around Europe. I am hooked and the beach is only a maximum of 10 minutes walk. The restaurants are really good with a choice of Greek, English or Italian food. The Sea and Pub Restaurant near Mackenzie beach served really nice food especially the Mousakka. The Meeting Place and Tuck Inn by the marina was also nice. Note: nearly everything is open as normal on Xmas day especially the restaurants and supermarkets.
An excellent penthouse apartment with everything necessary for a perfect holiday. Well maintained with a huge terrace with all day sun, ideal for sunbathing or dining on warm evenings
Ideally centrally situated for exploring the island. All the maps and information you could need are provided.
A short walk to the shops, beach and marina where there are various boat trips for either sightseeing fishing or diving.
Great service from the owners' representative ensures a trouble free holiday.
We (2 couples) had a very nice one week holiday at the apartment. The apartment has everything you need for a holiday. It’s clean, a complete kitchen, good beds and everything works! The view from the terrace is even far better than the picture shows! When we were there it was too hot for sunbathing on the terrace and we enjoyed the large covered part of the terrace, especially in the morning and evenings. In a relaxed pace it’s a 15 minute walk to the promenade (and the beach). You can have breakfast or coffee in one of the cafes on the way.
We had a very good contact with the owner. She is very helpful and we had several tips from her and advice on how to get from the airport to the apartment in the evening. The taxi driver she advised us is a very relaxed and helpful guy. During the week we used his services several times.
Just around the corner there is a very good bakery, a greengrocer and several small shops and mini markets with everything you need. Just a 10 minute walk away there is a big supermarket that has even more than one needs.
As with regards to having a diner in a restaurant, to places are very worth mentioning: On Friday evening we had a fantastic traditional mezze diner with live music at the traditional tavern “To Kazani” (in Aradippou at about 6 km from the apartment). It’s regarded to be the best in town and has live music on Fridays and Saturdays, and then you need to make a reservation (we did this by Facebook in the weeks before!). We left from To Kazani at about midnight, but as we understood from the very welcoming owner, the party goes on till early in the morning. We also had a very nice diner in the Lebanese restaurant at the promenade. It’s best to keep a bit away from the promenade for having diners; even some of the simple kebab restaurants away from the promenade serve better foods and more traditional Cypriote foods than most restaurants on or near the promenade!
Just 1 minute from the apartment (direct at the roundabout) there is a fantastic Cypriote caterer, were you can buy quality take away mezze in the assortment and portion size you want. A few times we came late from the beach (after beach drinks) and we picked up our evening mezze diner there. Super!
When we come to Larnaca again, we will probably use the same apartment again. It’s a fantastic place!
Although away from the main tourist area, the apartment is only a 10 minute walk to the Marina, beautiful palm-lined promenade, Blue Flag beach and town center with good Cypriot restaurants, shops, banks etc.
Sites of local interest: the Old Fort, St. Lazarus Church, Stavrovouni Monastery, Hala Sultan Tekke.
