About Caroline Wallrock
Charlie and I are antique dealers and we have four children, one of whom helped decorate and furnish this wing of the house. We've travelled widely and lived overseas but always return to this beautiful part of the world.
Why Caroline Wallrock chose Boldre
Tweed House and Cloisters have a saucy history. Tweed House was built by Captain Symonds for his new bride Lucinde Touzi in 1815. They had met in the Caribbean as the result of incredible adventures. Captain Symonds rescued Lucinde from the siege of San Domingo, brought her back to England and married her once she came of age. Later owners, the Moens, were kidnapped on their honeymoon in Sardinia. Mrs Moens was released and the people of Boldre chipped in to raise the ransom to free Mr. Moen.

Beautiful house and grounds
Easy to access, lovely house which caters perfectly for eight adults and two kids. Use of the grounds and tennis court is a real bonus. Good areas for eating and spending time together without getting under each others feet!
Fantastic house - great location xx
Fantastic property - lots of space in and outside of the property. Great location too.
We had a lovely weekend break. Admittedly the weather was wonderful which meant we could make full use of the lovely gardens and outside seating, but the inside of the property was gorgeous and had everything we needed. Two of the bedrooms were very grand, with lovely views across the gardens. We always love staying in the New Forest and this property made this stay extra special. Thank you!
Lovely house. Lots of room.
Lovely garden. Good location.
Spacious and comfortable
We had a lovely spacious and comfortable stay at Cloisters. Plenty of room and a warm house. Beautiful, quiet garden. Thank you.
This house was perfect for our needs, plenty of large bedrooms and two lounges was perfect as we were a big group with children so lots of room to spread out. A lovely big dining table that conformably fit ten of us and great kitchen facilities with all amenities (two fridges which was useful) and two highchairs. Lovely to have tea and coffee already there as well. Close to Lymington which was great for an afternoon out and the red lion pub was very close and we had a good lunch there. The only slight draw back was that there were only showers in the two en suites, with only a bath in the main bathroom, it just meant co-ordinating shower times around when the children were sleeping etc.
The New Forest is one of England's gems. The rural landscape of forest and heathland is less than two hours from London but seems a world away. The New Forest ponies graze on the common heathland and are joined by donkeys, cattle, and even pigs in the autumn. An extensive network of walking and bicycle trails make the area easy to explore. Minutes away are beaches along the Solent. Lymington is home to a vibrant boating community. The Isle of Wight is easily reachable by ferry. The New Forest is easily accessible by car or train. Or sail into Lymington.
