Wonderful House for Women’s Weekend
Enough space to accommodate 6 very different personalities. Wonderful old house with every mod con you could ask for, including a fully-supplied Keurig and strategically placed boxes of Kleenex. Comfortable beds, plenty of towels, lovely back porch and yard with plenty of entertaining wildlife. We’d come back in a heartbeat. Thank you to Ed and Judy for providing such a great place for us to stay. They obviously put a lot of thought into what would make their guests happy.
Thankyou for your kind words, enjoyed having you as guests. Hope to see you again.

Great place for a rainy family reunion weekend!
My sister and I stayed for the weekend with several of our teenage/adult children. This house provided wonderful space on the first floor to have four separate group conversations going on at once. The kitchen has a good amount of space for sitting. The dining room table has good puzzle space. Puzzles are plentiful at the house for use of guests. We put two of them together! The sitting room near the fireplace is a third gathering space that was occupied by the girls as they braided each others' hair. The living room provided another large "puzzle table" and tv with connectivity for the tv-watching part of our group. We were very happy to have this house to come back to each evening after spending the daylight hours with the younger kids in our extended family, who stayed at grandma's house and the local hotel.
The house is beautiful, with enough bathroom facility and bedroom space to meet the needs of 12 people, as advertised. I have travelled a lot and have stayed in many hotels and bed/breakfasts, both in the US and Ireland. This house is very clean and orderly. The owner is very thorough and lets you know exactly how you are to leave the house upon departure. I appreciated that. The grounds are beautiful. The neighbors are quiet and all of us were able to get lots of rest.
75th Birthday Celebration
Twelve of us -- including my husband, whose 75th birthday we were celebrating, myself, our three adult children and their spouses and our four grandchildren, ages 2-8, converged on Lake City from Wisconsin, Indiana and Virginia for several days of fun in Lake City. The house was perfect for all of our activties. The huge backyard provided a place for the kids to run and play. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals including the birthday cook-out celebration! (And the grocery store was conveniently close, as was the Dairy Queen.) The house was also stocked with books (and a special kids' nook for reading) and games, and the downstairs tv had all sorts of programs for Grandma and the kids to enjoy first thing in the morning or during quiet times. The beds were comfortable; the kids enjoyed the rollaway cots that we set up in the bedrooms too. The front and back porches provided space to sit and talk -- and enjoy the amazing weather. We visited the Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum in Pepin, the Eagle Museum in Wabasha and Lark Toys in Kellogg, went swimming at a nearby park, rented a pontoon and spent a full day on the river, and just generally enjoyed each other's company in this lovely home. Highly recommend!
Thanks for your kind words, hope to see you in the future.

I love older homes and the charm and feel of history. Plus clean and inviting- enjoyed it!
Lovely home with historic charm plus addition of air conditioning and updated kitchen and laundry were awesome. Didn’t actually realize there was air until our last day but we were always comfortable.
Thanks Annette, hope to see you again.
An Awesome Stay
This place was soooo accomdating with all the necessary supplies needed. The outside yard was wonderful for a family gathering and many yard games played. DEFINITELY would stay again !!!!
Thanks, we appreciate your kind words. Hope to see you again.
Ed and Judy
We stayed a week at this beautiful home that Ed and Judy worked so hard on. It was evident in the details from the toothbrushes in the bathroom, to a stocked kitchen including kid friendly plates/cups and the adorable book nook. The bathrooms were very nice and the bedrooms were very roomy and comfortable. Having the stowaway beds was a bonus with the kids. We loved the backyard and played on the basketball hoop in the back as well as many yard games. Between 3 families we didn't feel like we were on top of each other. We also loved the location close to the walking path by Lake Pepin and of course the Dairy Queen! We will be back!
Thank you so much Ed and Judy for making everything so wonderful!
Thanks Dawn, would love to see you back again, glad you enjoyed your visit.
