Amazing place to stay and the city and surrounding area offers so many things to do. We cooked, went snow shoeing, shopped at one of the local thrift shops , and had lunch at the Lake House. We definitely will return . Hopefully this summer.
Beautiful, clean home
We stayed at Ed and Judy's rental home for Thanksgiving with another family. The house was very clean and roomy and was perfect for our group of 8 over this long weekend. Thanks to Ed and Judy for making our stay easy and comfortable!
Thanks, we hope to see you again.
Love love love
My daughter‘s wedding was in Lake City and this home was a fabulous place for my family and I together and celebrate them. The house was beautiful and everything that was listed. We did beautiful pictures of the bridal party in this home along the stairs And outside in the big yard. I can’t wait to see them I have to say that we will be renting this place again for family gatherings.
Unique, huge house...perfect for families
What an amazing old house! We had two families with kids in town for a wedding and this place was perfect. The interior architecture and woodwork was incredible. Our weather was pretty poor, so we missed out on more time in the yard, but it is huge-probably three city lots. If you have little ones that need a large safe to play, try this place. It is in a beautiful old neighborhood in a great town. Lake City is a gem if you want to do a little river hiking and relaxing. The house had all the amenities you would expect and owners were prompt to respond to inquiries. Great stay!
My 4 sisters and I loved our stay at Swanny Oaks! The charm and comfort of this beautiful 1908 home was present in every room! It's also meticulously maintained and we truly felt Ed and Judy want their guests to have the best experience possible. The location is ideal for exploring Lake City and other scenic towns along the river. We highly recommend this property and hope to return for another sister weekend!
Thank you for choosing Swanny Oaks. It has been our pleasure!
Hope to see you again.
Fantastic home in Lake City for our girlfriend getaway!
Swanny Oaks is a beautifully restored home with ample space and lovely amenities (Keurig, book nook under the stairs, access to garden veggies, outdoor gathering spaces on the porch, balcony, patio to name a few). It is conveniently located by the lake and DQ and a short drive to downtown, state parks, other fun communities such as Red Wing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return someday.
Thank you Judy and Ed!
Thank you for the kind words and for staying with us. We hope that you are able to return sometime also.
