We stayed at the cabin the first weekend in October. Yes the driveway is steep, but we managed just fine. My family loves this place! First, I really enjoyed talking with Patti, who is very nice. The cabin was clean and well taken care of. Our dogs sure did love adventuring around the property and going down the trail and to the water. It is a beautiful area that the cabin is in, peaceful, but yet not far from Boone and other areas. We only stayed two nights and wish we would have stayed at least a week. We plan on going back to the cabin. I have recommended this place to my friends. I can't wait to go back!!!!! Patti, thanks for sharing your wonderful place!!!

Secluded and peacefull

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely enjoyed our stay this past weekend. Even though it's off the "beaten path" a little bit it's still perfectly situated in what I believe is one of the top 5 areas of the Appalachian mountains to visit.

Great location! Very cozy!

  • 5 of 5

My teenage daughters and I enjoyed a girls getaway for a few days. The cabin was the perfect spot for us. We spent time in Blowing Rock, Boone and on hiking trails. Our trip was short. Too short, but we made great memories. I highly recommend this cabin for a vacation.

Nice house but did not like location.

  • 3 of 5

House was adorable but please take note, there's no air conditioning. The driveway is a beast! Only attempt with 4- wheel drive. House is very secluded and a little scary. Hebron falls and trails were awesome but could just drive there from better home location.

Owner's Response: Thank you for taking time to write... Sorry this location is not for you. That is a FIRST....a very desirable location. Privacy and seclusion is what most folks are looking for in a mountain getaway. I know I do... Driveway, I have never had a problem...I just put it in low and go....I've driven non 4WD Explorer and non 4WD EXterra, non 4WD lexus sedan and even a little Honda Del Sol sports car (had to be super careful with that one!) Mini vans and vans are not recommended tho.... Okie...thanks again for writing!!

We will be returning for sure!

We absolutely loved our stay, the property is gorgeous and the location was perfect. Far enough away from everything but close enough to town, the trail across the road up to the falls is BEAUTIFUL.

The house was beautiful, we were going to use the grill, but there was a little mouse nest and family living in it and we didn't want to disturb them.

Just a heads up for the kitchen, there are NO spices and no cooking oil. We didn't think to bring any (our bad). But I think just having a few would have been a nice touch.

Overall everything was so wonderful, and what we needed on our little mountain get away.

Owner's Response: Thank you for taking time to write....! Perhaps I'll pick up some spices and oil when I head up for my annual "vacation"....always a working vacation but enjoyable just the same. Again, thank you for your kind review!!! Patti
