Review Submitted: November 22, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2008

We stayed at the cabin the first weekend in October. Yes the driveway is steep, but we managed just fine. My family loves this place! First, I really enjoyed talking with Patti, who is very nice. The cabin was clean and well taken care of. Our dogs sure did love adventuring around the property and going down the trail and to the water. It is a beautiful area that the cabin is in, peaceful, but yet not far from Boone and other areas. We only stayed two nights and wish we would have stayed at least a week. We plan on going back to the cabin. I have recommended this place to my friends. I can't wait to go back!!!!! Patti, thanks for sharing your wonderful place!!!

Perfect

This was the perfect little cabin. You are nice and secluded but so close to everything. The driveway is not bad at all. My SUV drove right up it with 2” of snow and ice on the ground. We will definitely be back!

Hard to get comfortable but close to things to do

  • 3 of 5

The cabin was clean but dimly lit and had a set that was not very good for the 4 of us. My kids were disappointed that we could not get WiFi and the owner didn’t respond to this when we texted. The property was close to a trail and was close to things to do. We left early as rain was expected and the road to and driveway would have been treacherous

Owner's Response: Thanks for taking the time to write... I did not receive a text from these guests regarding wifi. I only received a text about property left behind. Guests who arrived after this departure did text that wifi wasn't working and I got Skyline out to remedy the situation that day...I always respond and I do everything in my power to keep everything in working order.... Wonderfully nestled in the woods.

  • 5 of 5

Quaint cabin in woods. Perfect for a quiet mountain retreat. Head down one side of the mountain and you’re in Boone, head down the other side and you’re in Blowing Rock!
