Experience the small-town friendliness of Cedar City from this two-bedroom apartment in the heart of town. Featuring a spacious backyard with a garden, a walkable location near restaurants, Shakespearian theaters, and Southern Utah University, plus space for up to six guests, it'll set the stage for an unforgettable trip to southwest Utah.
Residing on the bottom floor of the Higbee House, a beautifully preserved home originally built in 1906, this apartment offers plenty of privacy. Thanks to its own entrance separate from the main house upstairs, you'll be able to come and go as you please - or rent the whole house for larger groups. When you do venture out, it's only three blocks from SUU and four blocks from downtown shops and restaurants along UT-130.
Settle in for a restful day indoors with some Netflix on the widescreen Smart TV in the living area. Or kick your feet up on the spacious leather couch for a rejuvenating nap. Plush chairs nearby offer even more seating for group gatherings, and the lamp in between the chairs can be flipped on for reading a good book.
When it's time to eat, whip up something delicious in the well-equipped kitchen, which comes stocked with all the appliances, cookware, and countertop space you'll need for making homemade meals. Dine together at the two-seat table near the kitchen or take your meals onto the backyard deck for an al fresco experience. Here, you'll overlook the lovely rose garden and dine with views of red rock wilderness in the distance. Throw your dishes in the dishwasher for quick cleanup afterward, then head to bed.
Up to six guests (four adults maximum) are accommodated on a queen bed and sofabed in the main room, plus two twin beds in an area next to the kitchen.
Wake with a fresh cup of coffee brewed with the coffeemaker, then head out for more exploration. Visit the Frontier Homestead State Park Museum to learn about the town's early pioneer days, then take a stroll next to Coal Creek at East Canyon Park. The red rock wilderness surrounding the town offers bountiful activities in the great outdoors, so make sure to plan for some hikes, mountain bike rides, rock climbing, and plenty of time outside while you're here.
