About Zoila Albies

After vacationing in Teton Valley, my wife and I fell in love with the "quiet side of the Tetons". We purchased this beautiful log home so we can someday retire here. We were married by the pond in the shadow of the Grand Teton. With two additions to the family, we now enjoy great family vacations up here. We hope you make some great memories at our cabin in Teton Valley.

Why Zoila Albies chose Teton Valley Area

Beautiful custom built log home hand made by the previous owner. Close proximity to all outdoor activities.

Guestbook comments from the owner

My wife and I and our Lab vacationed here for a week and loved it. It was a perfect base for our day trips into Yellowstone. We were very impressed with the view of the Grand Teton right in front of us. The house was clean and far enough away from town that we felt secluded but close enough to get groceries. We'll be back in the future.

Quiet, peaceful and cozy with a view.

property is just as pictured ( only with different comfy couches now). it is well maintained and give you the cabin feel while still having a modern edge, nicely balanced. The original artwork was very nice to see and appreciate. It has all the amenities, nice viking gas stove, nice gas fireplaces, big screen tv, gaming console, plenty of linens and bath towels. The beds are very comfortable. The porch was a very nice place to sit and look at the tetons and the patio furniture was clean and well kept. Having access to the garage to park and load and unload the car was very helpful during the rain and also appreciated. Super quiet at night which we really loved and the deer walking through the yard in the evening and early morning was very nice to see. Having the washer and dryer which worked well was a huge help since we were on the last leg of a ten day trip. The cabin is also very pet friendly, floors are rustic and beds are high enough that pets cannot climb up. We did bring throws to cover the furniture ( couches) which we also do at home for the pooches. Over all a great find and we hope to be able to return again. It is very nice that owners are willing to rent out great properties like this one to families that have furry members too. We will definitely recommend this property to others.

"Wow... great job Dad"

  • 5 of 5

That's what my family said when we entered the house. After several days in the National Parks and in-Park hotel rooms we drove over Teton Pass from Jackson to enjoy Driggs/Alta and the Teton Valley side. The house is beautiful, spacious, comfortable and has wonderful views all around. The town is easily nearby (great supermarket, nice restaurants and stores), and it's a short drive to both Teton Valley Trailhead and Grand Targhee Resort. The TLC items in some of the earlier reviews have been taken care of and the only thing I'd note for guests coming during cold/Winter (snow ski) season is to see if you can have the heat for the great room in progress for arrival. We missed out on some outdoor activities because of news-making September snows, but look forward to coming back to do them in the Spring, Summer or (normal) Fall.

Beautiful Teton Valley Retreat

  • 5 of 5

We spent a glorious week here in late August to see the solar eclipse. The property is lovely and incredibly peaceful and private. The views of the Tetons to the east and the Big Hole mountains to the west are spectacular and ever changing and the night sky is breathtaking as well. We had a large family party, including two dogs. The family with kids stayed in the garage loft, which worked great. The rest of the adults and the dogs stayed in the main house. There are 3 queen size beds in the main house but only one bedroom with a solid door. For family, the reduced privacy wasn't an issue but for a group where everyone isn't as well acquainted it might be an issue. The kitchen is small but well equipped. The full wrap-around deck provides a huge outdoor living space. We used the BBQ every day and the hot tub most evenings. The dogs loved wading in the pond and relaxing in the grass and we got a lot of exercise playing tag with the kids on the big lawn. My elderly mother had no problems getting around the place. Our elderly dog was a bit daunted by the front steps but did fine going up the deck steps in the back. It was a wonderful week and I would return to enjoy the valley.

Beautiful house and views!

We loved this house! The house and the views were spectacular! The space over the garage was an added bonus and gave us plenty of room for our group. We enjoyed visiting Jackson and Driggs. We would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic location. Grounds need upkeep.

  • 3 of 5

The view on the "quiet side" of the Tetons is truly magnificent. And the setting *is* quiet. Ponds and lawn were very well-maintained. Weeds, though, created walking hazards on two sets of outdoor stairs, so we had to trim them back. A thistle "forest" of up to 7 feet in height is growing between the garage and the house, giving this part of the property a sorry, long-abandoned look, like the broken washing machine off the kitchen (the working one is in the garage). A left section of the main stairs going up to the front door will likely not survive another season. The bridge over the creek, while still fully drivable, also has a noteworthy hole in it. This beautiful place deserves some TLC, and soon.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your feedback it is greatly appreciated. I arrived the day after you left for vacation with my family and noticed the thistles you referenced and removed all of them and notified the gardening crew to make sure they don’t come back. I also had the bridge completely resurfaced as the tenant before you drove over it with a trailer and punched a hole in it. I was unable to get that replaced before your arrival so my apologies for that. As for the other items mentioned all are working fine. I’m glad you enjoyed your time in Driggs and thank you for for your candid feedback it helps me keep the home in excellent condition.
