Talk About Rooms with a View!

This charming third floor condo has wonderful large windows overlooking Marblehead Harbor. The rooftop deck was a delightful spot to watch the sun rise over the harbor. There was so much within easy walking distance - several restaurants, a bakery, groceries, shops and many of the historical treasures of Marblehead. Two nearby local parks provided great water vistas, as well as a history lesson. Marblehead proved to be a great"home base" and we explored much of the North Shore with short day trips. The owners offered helpful local information, great directions and were a pleasure to work with. The condo is comfortable and attractive with those extra touches that make you feel at home when you come through the door.

Will truly become our home away from home! NY-MA

Our family of 3 had a wonderful stay this past weekend. The apartment was quaint, clean and comfortable with everything you need to reside for a few days! The view from the rooftop was a great way to start the day with coffee or end with a cocktail! Lots to explore within waking distance. We won't want to stay anywhere else when we visit our friends in Marblehead!! Thank you Phil!!

Wonderful Weekend in Marblehead

  • 5 of 5

Myself, my husband and our friend stayed here this past September weekend and had a great time. The apartment is lovely, well kept and nicely decorated. The view of the harbor is fantastic and the roof deck an extra treat that we really enjoyed. All the amenities you could need are provided for you, including some food items, which we greatly appreciated. There are several very nice places to eat a short stroll away and shops a bit further up the road. Salem was an easy 10-15 minute drive. Phil the owner was great to deal with, responded to my inquiries quickly and provided plenty of information. Overall we had a wonderful stay and hope to come back again in the future.

Could not have been better

We had a wonderful weekend at the Honeymoon condo. The whole time we kept saying to each other, "this place is just adorable, it's perfect!". Phil did such a nice job making us feel welcome. The breakfast food was such a nice touch, everything was clean and neat and comfortable. We loved sitting in the window enjoying the view of the pier and all the boats. The condo is beautifully decorated, and felt like we were staying with family. We can't wait to go back.

A Great Place to Stop and Catch your Breath

  • 4 of 5

My wife and I stayed here for two nights following 12 nights in hotels following a tour of Iceland. Having the additional space to spread out was wonderful as was the knowledge that our schedule was free of commitments. We were able to do a couple of loads of laundry, take a number of walks to explore the area and enjoy the two restaurants located across the street (The Landing for dinner) and The Driftwood for breakfast).

With regards to the unit, it is on the third floor which means you have a bit of climbing up somewhat narrow stairways. The unit itself is like visiting Grandma's home in that it has a variety of antiques (like an old set of golf clubs, roller skates that clipped onto your shoes, old bottles and even an old bar of unopened Ivory soap) on display. You have an outstanding view of the harbor from the bedroom and the living/dinning room. The unit was very quiet and while the owner warned us that early morning conversations between fishermen/lobstermen and those who were retired might be heard we did not find it a problem. The location of this unit and the availability of onsite parking gives you a chance to leave your car parked and explore city center and parks on foot. The bathroom and kitchen are probably a little old fashioned but totally functional. There is a large supermarket about two blocks away and a lobsterman who was selling freshly caught lobsters for $6.99 down the block.

The owner's information was clear, helpful and accurate and it was nice of him to e-mail us to tell us that we could stay in the unit beyond the checkout time on the day we were leaving as the unit was not going to be occupied that night.

Owner's Response: The guest was quite right in saying that the bathroom is bit old fashioned. The tub is painted white as the original color is no longer in vogue. We plan to completely redo the bathroom and so to some extent the kitchen next winter.

Historical Hideaway

Loved staying at the apartment in Marblehead. Looking out at the bay while sipping tea each morning was a blessing. Beautifully decorated and peaceful. It's a great place to stay while you explore the surrounding historical districts and locations. Would definitely rent it again.
