Fresh cause

Hampstead’s airiness imbues this monochrome apartment. Along a road of red-brick terraced houses, Canfield Gardens III has been refurbished completely – starting from its L-shaped hallway. An immediate left takes you into the office, edged by a south-facing balcony. The double bedroom is second on the left, with two tall windows and a royal-purple chaise longue. Or straight ahead is the master, with its wide bay window, soft tones and underfloor-heated ensuite.

Your hostess restyled this home herself, and her elegant taste is most evident in the sitting room to the right of the hall. The paint on the walls is bright, and clean lines let the colourful and contemporary artworks stand out. The minimally styled kitchen is next along on the right, with a table for four. Or walk to nearby Finchley Road, where the cafés and eateries are just as refreshing.

About Owner / Property Manager

onefinestay gives you the chance to stay in someone's place while they're out of town. You get to live their life for a few days and nights.

Booking a stay is as easy as booking a hotel room. And there's service to match.

Nobody wants to be a tourist, so our homes come with recommendations from the people who live in them. For everything else, we're here 24/7.

Why Owner / Property Manager chose Camden & Covent Garden

Long the haunt of leather-elbowed scholars, cerebral actors and continental savants, Hampstead's redbrick high street and quiet side alleys exude an air of refined thinking and cultured money – past and present residents range from Lord Byron to Benedict Cumberbatch (via the incongruous Ozzy Osbourne and Ricky Gervais).

Perhaps it is the area's exalted location, high above the noxious sounds and fumes of central London, which lends it this astral aspect, but also the appealing mix of people – cashmere’d Italians on Vespas roar past flat-capped dealers from the Antique & Craft Emporium, while third-generation locals, retired from top positions in the arts, load a picnic basket from Melrose & Morgan to feed the grandchildren by one of the verdant ponds on Hampstead Heath. Discreetly famous brands throng Hampstead High Street for seductive shopping ,while on Parliament Hill colourful kites soar above one of London's best views, offering something for everyone in this most imposing of neighbourhoods.

What makes this apartment unique

Booking a stay is as easy as booking a hotel room, with online payment and confirmation. You get the same attention to detail and personal service too.

Every home is properly cleaned before and after you stay, beds made (we can even do hospital corners) and bathrooms kitted out with luxury toiletries. There’s a maid service if you want it, as well as other hotel-style amenities.

Once we’ve helped you settle in, we’re just a call away, 24/7. If it’s something we can’t solve over the phone, we’ll pop over to lend a hand.

And because nobody wants to be a tourist, our homes come with personal and unique recommendations from the people who live in them – places to eat, things to do and adventures to go on.
