End of May 2014 we have been to this fantastic Villa for a 2 weeks holiday.
We have been there with two families and a total of 4 kids in the age of 3-6years.
The location is in-between the high mountains and the coast. That makes it very unique!
For our kids the big pool was the attraction of the stay.
Also the child-friendly atmosphere and a lot of toys make this Villa the perfect residence for families with kids.
In the backyard of the house you find the second or third terrace with a stony barbeque. If you want to you can close that area, so that small kids are not able to go to the pool themselves.
This gives the parents a lot of freedom…
In the high season the very big garden with lots of old trees that are spending enough shadow makes it worth to just staying at the villa for the day!
If you wane relax in a great surrounding and Villa, you should book this Villa.
In the meantime we are back to work at Munich, Germany.
But just yesterday evening all the adults were sitting together again. We all agreed once more that this was a wonderful holiday in Lanciano!
We were two families with children under 4 on holiday for a week. The villa great, the pool was excellent (kids loved it, in it every afternoon!) and the grounds were good for kids too (we had lots of hide & seek and there was a enclosed back part of garden for them to play safely, away from pool, while adults cooking etc...).
The closest beach probably more like 20min drive away, but still pretty close. Beaches along coast great for small kids as the water is mainly at ankle/knee height for a long way out until it drops deeper. So absolutely perfect for little ones. We did day trip up to the mountains too as there was a town with playground for them, which was really nice and a little bit cooler in summer. If you have bigger kids, there are alot of other places to go to which are a bit more of a drive away.
We had a heat wave the week we were there and our friend was pregnant, so they ended up staying in the basement taverna, as much cooler and had a bedroom and fold out bed in lounge/kitchen. This area is completely seperate from main house so if anyone wanted there own seperate space while holidaying as a group it is a good setup. My family stayed upstairs which unfortunately was alot hotter, but bedrooms had fans, which helped a bit. But in normal conditions would be fine.
The whole villa was a great standard and very clean, we cooked every night, the kitchen had everything we needed, supermarket only 4min drive away (and huge so can get everything!), bedrooms all really good size opening on to balconies. Also there was alot of different eating spaces, both in and outside and a nice lounge, so if in a big group lots of areas to be together in but equally places to go to have some time out.
We all had a really great holiday here and would totally recommend it!
